i agree, but from a top 5 finish to 11th and unable to attract any real quality. The club has gone back years from where we were last year.
We have gone backwards since last year but i think everybody will admit that we overachieved last year and also the fact that we lost 3 of our most important players during the season must also not be overlooked. Despite all this i still think we should have done better this season.
As for attracting no real quality as of yet, this is the problem with the franchise system, there is so much uncertainty over not just wakey but the future of several clubs meaning nobody knows what will happen when july comes around. At leats with promotion and relagation, players knew that if they came to Wakey and played well and were successful then they would be playing in Super League the year after, now they could come to Wakey play their hearts out finish in the playoffs and still not be in Super league the year after. This means that players we may have been in the market for will choose safer options and sign for other clubs. So in a word i can uderstand why we are having problems signing players.
