Well, it will either happen or it won't. I know that MC doesn't think it will, from seeing his tweeted response to that actual question last night. I'm just hoping that the friction is sufficiently strong that Rodders will pull it off just to annoy everyone. What worries me is that people in the know think it's just bluster to deflect the blame, and the blame will come at some point.
I do believe that there is an intention to build it. I think also, however, that the reason lies in the ability to line certain pockets, and not out of any altruistic purpose. It only works if it fills the clubs coffers. Everyone knows that the reason teams prosper in modern stadia is because of the revenues they generate, through catering and corporate entertainment. If it fails because of Rodders and Yorkcourt won't commit to that, the questions have to be asked about who was intended to profit from them.
We'll know whether we are doomed as one of our best ever super league seasons comes to a climax. Nice one Rodders.
