Although things like dressing room heating and coaches, etc, seem like small things, but it must have seemed at times like they were playing for a club a couple of divisions below. If you are going to treat players like part-time park players, they will think like them, and for what financial saving?
I'm not into mollycoddling players, but we've all been in jobs probably where things happen that affect morale, and all been in jobs where you've had fun and felt highly-regarded. One produces good results, the other doesn't. The heating of a dressing room shouldn't come under the expense category of "heating" but "morale", and that can win or lose a game.
Yes, balance the books, but think of the real cost of things, not just the number in a column.

They get paid Super League wages so if something as trivial as the temperature of the changing rooms makes them play like players from Championship 1 maybe they should hand their salaries back as well!
I was all for the appointment of Brian Smith. I didn't expect miracles just keeping us in superleagued last season and an improvement in the defence this season. . Walking away after 5 games is mildly disappointing . Refusing to give proper reasons to the supporters for leaving is equally disappointing . Posting a cryptic message on Facebook saying supporters should ask better questions is rather silly and the action of someone who has liitle feeling for the club but is also actively trying to cause a slight stir. I am no supporter of MC. I think he treats's the supporters with a lack of consideration at times but I don't think he is to blame for Smith leaving. If BS knows different now he is back in Oz he should tell us what he meant that Facebook message.

Totally agree slugger, the players are the clubs biggest (only?) assets surely you need to look after them like they are royalty as much as you can? Pizza anyone?...

You really are in a pickle if theres any truth in this.
I have a question for those who question the moral fibre of Smith. In the entire SL how many coaches have resigned their position part way through a season in the last three years. I can say we have three in the last two full seasons. We either just employ unsuitable coaches or we have a problem elsewhere. I wait the numbers with interest to see how we compare.

That's like saying if my employer didn't give me a good enough laptop to do my job I should buy it myself as they give me a decent wage.
They are not playing for fun. They are professional players and should be treated that way.. I wonder if there was any heating in the offices
My God pop tart do you actually work with a laptop, didn't know what one was till 12 months ago what an advantage some of you've got, it's a good job I know what I'm talking about in it
