Because the previous WIP's have resulted in threads being started on here soon after the petition has been lodged with the High Court.

I accept that it may be that HMRC have indicated they want the money by 31 Jan otherwise they'll start proceedings, but even if that's the case there's going to be a couple of weeks beyond that we'll have to work something out before we end up in court.

The bank deadline is far more likely to be fixed. Although they stood by the club through the CVA & the previous winding up petitions, there's only so much rope they'll give us to hang ourselves with.

Seems to me that now put up or shut up time's here a lot of people are giving up on the club we love!!!

dont think its put up time, yet.
and dont think many are giving up, its just there needs to be more detailed so an informed decision can be made, basically so far from the club officially we have had give us a grand, and now quite naturally we are asking what its for.

Really? Seems to me that people want some answers and some assurances rather than blindly handing over a grand. What of those who cannot afford the grand is that the price we are now putting on our love for the club? TOGETHER WE ARE STRONGER (unless you haven't got any money)

This article on the YP website seems to make things a little bit clearer re HMRC: http://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/wakefiel ... 6682780.jp "it is understood an arrangement made with HM Customs and Excise to pay further unpaid tax bills over a set period has been torn up after it saw the Crusaders enter administration last month" So, not only do Crusaders get preferential treatment & financial support from the RFL, but they also f*$k up the agreement that the club had come to with HMRC and had every intention of honouring.
