EVENTUALLY, WE'LL WIN SOMETHING, ,MAYBE, IF I'M STILL ALIVE THEN

How many clubs actually put in an application?
There seems to be only us and Castleford mentioned in this respect - did all SL clubs plus Halifax (and Widnes) put in an application?

The 14 current clubs plus Halifax. Barrow applied but failed to meet the criteria and so dropped out.

The whole thing is a charade to promote a sense of fair evaluation, when everyone in the game, including us, have guessed at it being us for more than a year (except for that very short period when Newmarket was looking imminent). To relegate anyone but us would astound everyone, and so why would the RFL make it hard for themselves.

And prepare for some chicanery from Crusaders immediately afterwards, given that at least one player hasn't been paid for three months, by all accounts.

If we are kicked out and it comes to light that in fact we didnt have the weekest application, would the club have any grounds to take legal action? Or would it just not be financially viable anyway?

The very first page of the application waives a clubs right to take legal action on any decision the RFL makes, this has to be signed for the application to be valid, just shows how bent the RFL are.

none whatsoever, i keep banging on about this but no one seems to get it, its a franchise to play in their league, like kfc or neros, you ask to be part of their product and at any time your franchise can be revoked,

we have asked nicely to be part of the SL brand, if we are turned down we just lose the rights to use that brand, in all honesty they dont even need to be open about the criteria, which of course by keeping scoring secret they are not.

this is NOT sport, its franchising, wake up and smell whats left of the roses.

dont start me on rose quotes!

i like

when the petals fall off the rose the bees dont come around as often.

its is used to descibe in rose terms our attendances this year, and if it turns up in a book, by anyone, my lawyers are watching.

No we don't - they've already passed it; we have to rely on Mr Pickles.
