Sign them and you are contrctually bound to pay the rent for the term of the lease - just won't happen.

Or you threaten to leave unless terms are negotiated, not much different to the situation at BV? I can see the stich up but by not agreeing we are signing our own death warrant. Building it is the issue. Either way if the club can't operate in the new stadium the public still deserve what they were promised.

IF the club were to sign on the wrong terms, we would be stuffed.
I think we have to trust MC and the original trust members on this one, after all, they are the only ones privvy to all of the facts.
Can you imagine if we signed a deal that tied our hands and starved the club of any meaningful income and yet shackled it with all of the costs. That would be a huge mistake.

Having read Sandals post I get it now - truly bizarre attitude from Box if that's what he meant. Didn't hear the interview so I don't know for certain but can't say I'm surprised, it's one ambush after another.

The public do deserve what they were promised. A fully funded and built community stadium in return for 220 acres of green belt land that a private individual can make a tonne of money from.

They knew we would never agree to this, and they have never intended to build a stadium, and that stuck up git, has got his nose well and truly in the trough, and has been for 7 years!

You're right it would but I don't see a viable alternative. If it doesn't get built then we're stuffed. Of course this could be the start of the hard ball but it's easier when there is something for the other side to lose. Right now if the terms aren't signed they're laughing all the way to the bank, if they're signed it will show them up for the crooks they are.

Ultimately if the portrayed reason the stadium doesn't get built is because the club didn't agree terms then they truly have won and the scandal will never hit the mainstream news.

What's so annoying is that we have a match tonight hat could help see us finish fourth yet we are still bogged down with this crap as we have been for twenty odd years.

Thanks Sir Rodney Walker thanks for everything.

You can only negotiate if the other party agree to negotiate otherwise you have indeed signed your own death warrant.

There is no point of a stadium without the club otherwise it will be a white elephant. The PI was clear that this Community Stadium was to secure the future of Wakefield Trinity who would maintain the facility facility for use by the wider community.

Without Wakefield Trinity there will be no stadium and that's probably what some want.

I'd rather they built a white elephant then get away with not building it at all. Clearly they are hoping the club refuse the terms then they can say they tried thier best but it was out of their hands.

We are screwed either way though aren't we.

Agree to unacceptable terms and let me tell you the are well and truly unacceptable and the Club dies a lingering death or refuse to accept them and they have won and the Club dies.

Have you spotted the theme yet. Oh and of course we have a rival Trust who will find the terms acceptable because they can get their snouts in the trough at the expense of the people of Wakefield and the last remaining professional sporting club in the City of Wakefield.

Some need to hang their heads in shame but they have no conscience or shame.
