The RFL must know what we have been going through, do they care? Probably not. We and our ground is not iconic enough like Bradford. We could really embarrass them by getting through to the Grand Final. Just imagine it a grand finalists without a ground. I'm sure they could have help if they wanted to, I guess they didn't want to.

Hi guys, hope you're all well.

Sandal cat, have you guys had the opportunity to speak to the RFL with regard to what they consider as progress?

Whilst I appreciate that, in the grand scheme, YC walking away would be very refreshing, would the RFL consider the existing developer walking away from the scheme as progress?

Obviously I don't know how aware the RFL are of your plight, but on the face of it, YC walking away may be misconstrued as a backward step rather than progress.

That aside, I must congratulate you on going some way to dissuading other parties cooperating with SRW's "trust" over the existing one, who have the club and community at heart

Dave, any discussions with the RFL are a matter for the Club and not the Trust and are conducted by Michael and Chris. The outcome is important to us of course and if we are told anything then it's confidential and announcements would come from the Club.

Thanks for your support.

Having thought about this my bet is that the bravado from Box regarding yorkcourt is just a stunt to take the heat away from themselves and sooth public opinion.

There will now be a short period of calm while they try and divert our stadium attention elsewhere.

Mackie will have been given the nod to keep his head down for the next 18 months or so. He will then be told to trickle in his planning applications for Newmarket nice and quietly in the hope that no one really notices.
They will be hoping by then we will once more be fighting for a stadium somewhere else or the RFL will have us out of SL.

It's certainly a typical scenario. Now I suppose is the Trust biggest moment, they need to find away to make it water tight. They can't ease up on Box for a moment but I'm sure they know that. :BEAT:

You beat me to it, PB...that's exactly the same conclusion I have come to over the past 24 hours
Mackie and Box are as thick as thieves and I genuinely believe that this scenario has been carefully orchestrated by them over the past few years. They knew that they would eventually be backed into a corner and this was the only way for both of them to get out of the brown smelly stuff, Mackie with a bloody nose (but I'm told he doesn't give a sh#t anyway) and Box trying to appear as though he has always been on our side from the outset.

TOSSERS - both of them

That seems an oddly worded reply for a Trinity supporter.

I've tried to get my head round all this, most of it I understand, but Rodney Walker, why on earth invite him back to the original trust? He walked/was pushed from the trust after underhand dealings, the dodgy unminuted meetings. The original trust could hardly " trust" him. I can't imagine MC and CB wanting to sit round a table with this guy.
Can someone from the trust please fill me in cos I just don't get it.

So if MC says he can pay the interest on the loan to build the stadium, the council builds it and puts a charge on the site. So whoever develops the site will service the debt over the time it takes to develop the site. According to what we've been told the site is worth millions so Councillor Box what's the problem? We get the stadium and you don't have to stand in the witness box and take the oath.

This is what I don't get it's a no brainer surely, Having a Community Stadium would pay it's way surely, Trinity playing there generating money Any Local Rugby Cup Semi/Finals could be played there again generating money The local Nancyball teams again could play there And then there's the Concerts big names could come again more money, Plus all the Hospitality options be it match days or just general hire for anybody the list is endless, So why haven we maybe pressed this option more COME ON BOX dip in your pocket and get it started NOW.

Pushing Box/ the council on the offer made by MC to pay back loaned funds for the scheme needs to be something we keep the pressure on them about. If Box/the council are serious about getting this whole fiasco sorted - this seems like the most suitable solution for everyone now. Detailed plans are already drawn up for the scheme, land is already there with planning permission, all it needs is cash to get it going...and the council to get their slack arses in gear ofcourse.
