Bit harsh, having myself met Vastman I can guarantee he's a reasonable please try chap, think there's a few on here who seem to be a touch over sensitive. Maybe it's a generation thing.

Maybe it's just a keyboard warrior thing, people think they can hide behind their persona, I love coming on forums and posting, but I just can't imagine why people go on forums and pretend to be something they aren't in real life. Pretty sad really.
Well, after a Trinity masterclass against the high flying Rhinos and having expected a thrashing in the opposite direction, I'm just finishing off a great big humble pie.
Sorry for doubting the boys and it's the best damn pie that I've ever tasted
Hard to blame anyone who went to Huddersfield! How could you see that coming. Good smile for the cameras too
Don't worry about it , its almost second nature to a trinity fan. Expectations have hit the roof this season and the last month sort of put us back and gave way to the its what Trinity do best comments. NOW KEEPING THE MOMENTUM GOING will be the next challenge to overcome. Lets see just how much the club, players and coaching staff develop over the next few week.

Any smile for the cameras must have been before kick off. There wasn't anything to smile about during the game and it took until the Leeds victory to see the smile come back. Mind you, I'm suck with it now, it wont seem to budge

I don't know whether you're refering to me?
I wouldn't normally bother with such a long and serious response, but as it's you.
You know me and the one thing I don't do is hide behind my persona .Loads of people know who I am, probably to many but I don't hide it. I've never changed my user name and I've never posted as someone else.
Of course I'm nothing like Vastman in real life, I just give most people enough credit to know that. As for being a keyboard warrior, seriously? As already stated I'm known, by definition you can only be a 'keyboard warrior' if your identity was hidden and it isn't.Chissitt and his mates could easily find me at a match and give me a right ear bashing or worse. I don't think he would condone that, I think he's better than that but it's a risk I run so I'm no keyboard warrior.
I've been threatened twice, and punched once for my opinions on here by the way. That's how it goes I suppose, some people can give it but can't take it and as such they can't tell the difference between reality and what's said on here. That is what I call sad.
That said I won't stop. My poo stirring and that of a few others has IMO made this one of the most lively and active forums there is. How many other forums are visited and commented on by the club owner.
I'm not taking the credit for that by the way, but the fact that this forum remains so diverse and so active and so argumentative is part of the reason he bothers IMHO - he may deny it but that would be one of the rare occasions when I didn't believe him. If nothing else it gives the guy some idea as to what he's up against.
Ditto the previous regimes. Apart from the formation of SWAG so many positives have come from this forum. So much corruption uncovered - your mate Bazzo managed it with Glover. His timing was wrong IMO but his facts were right. It's all about opinion I suppose. Either way it all helped hasten his removal before it got even worse.
Were this the generic forum so beloved of Cas fans, no one would ever question anything and as I've said before we have not got that luxury. Whilst ever the club is in danger on and off the field we must IMHO remain critical in a responsible way. So I'll keep prodding for now.
As for Chissitt, I don't like him and didn't from the start. Don't know why, he just isn't my kind of person - I believe I'm allowed my own opinions on that issue?
I know he's your mate, fair enough. However you know me also, so if it's me you mean then I'm certainly sad to here it but not surprised. You all seem to be a bit blinded by this particular individual but hey what do I know, he may be a regular father christmas around Normy way . If you think the way he posts on here is any more acceptable than me then fine, your choice.
I suppose I thought you were a bit deeper than most and a touch more fair minded but as I say he's your mate so fair doo's, my mistake

I honestly don't know where this has all come from of late. I've been on this forum for about 15 years and was far more aggressive then than I am now. Yet people used to enjoy a ruck with Vasty, or they would just ignore the silly old fool. Most seemed smart enough to sift the occasional gem from the obvious show boating to provoke.
I don't know as it's an age thing, I just think it's how society has gone. Some people want to be offended. Some like Chissitt go one step further, they get offended on the behalf of others, regardless of whether they asked him to. Like so many people these days he talks as if he has a mandate to do so on others behalf, he doesn't but it doesn't stop him.
It certainly makes freedom of opinion much harder. Such an intolerant attitude to people and their opinions you don't like is a slippery slope as far as I'm concerned. As my old dad used to say 'many people claim to believe in free speech, just so long as you're saying what they want to here'. He was a mad old bugger but he got that one right

Ok matey,I'm in Italy at the moment having far too good a time to reply to your war and peace, but will give it a go when I get home, or we could quite possibly (regarding Newmarket) have a SWAG meeting and I could "chew your lug" metaforically speaking.
What I don't understand is why you think it's in any way entertaining for others to read all your opinions of other people Vasty. I'm typing as a poster on the forum not a Mod. Everything you say about Chisset I reckon he could say about you. Of course he's no angel. Neither am I. He isn't the first you've taken offence to and he is by no means the only one who is offended by you.
Where you (and others) cross the line is when you make it personal. I have no problem disagreeing with you and I can't really remember a post where you've had a go personally with me, and you've always treated me pretty fairly but for every one of your posts that 'starts debate' and 'makes this forum great' (and I absolutely agree that you do that) you have another two that are cheap sniping at someone or name calling. If you remember a few months back you said you couldn't understand why I was singling you out. I replied saying that I looked through your last 100 posts, and 50% had nothing to do with Wakefield or rugby. That was genuine. You should look at them. They were all something personal, or attacking/defending a previous post. That is what is frustrating. You are as guilty of muddying the waters of your own beloved debate as anyone else and you don't seem to see it.
I'd prefer to just post on here same as everyone else does. There should be no reason for a moderator really. And if there is, it should be to handle the trolls that come on from other sites. I think I've been pretty fair with those people but have quite a ban list to keep the forum a good place to discuss Wakefield topics as does Wildthing.
Anyway saying all that.................you have to ask, why when we are fighting it out for top four finish, with a big game at Cas on the horizon, are people bickering among themselves? Is it all getting so good that we all agree about the team and have nothing to moan about on the field? I for one am enjoying the ride and want to talk about it, even if it's bland that we all agree............except about Grix and Max of course
