I just think the errors he's making are unforgivable, every game he's played so far that I've seen there has been something diabolical that has happened which gives me no faith in him as a FB. He seems to be very good ball in hand when we're attacking, Jowitt has through some wonderful cut out passes and shown a little bit of pace when doing so, potential in the halves possibly but not over Miller, Rocky or Finn.
Some would say the same about Grix. He's made some pretty big errors in his time. The problem is, errors at full back usually cost a team big.
It'll be the same for Hooley.
I like all three. Right now I prefer Grix. Jowitt is good cover and getting better. The longer Grix goes on, the more likely Hooley will develop and mature past Max. It's a challenge for them all.

Just out of interest, what unforgivable error did he make against Leeds?
I think Max's problem is regular game time, so perhaps feels more pressure when he gets a game. He hadn't played for a while before Warrington last year, had a bad game, and didn't play for a while again. When he was first choice though, and playing every week, he was as solid as a rock. If you know you'll get picked most weeks, you perhaps roll with the punches a little more.

Sorry but that is a load of rubbish, "every game he's played so far that I've seen there has been something diabolical that has happened which gives me no faith in him as a FB"
He has never let anyone down when he has pulled the shirt on, he put in a brilliant run of performances in 2016 which led him to been named the SL rookie of the year. He looked a bit rusty at Hull but that was in awful conditions and his first SL game in a while..
Hope to god our young players don`t read your posts.

In all honesty moving away from what I've said, it's just good to see some competition in the FB position.

I though Super Leagues alternative to Rookie of the year was Young player of the year? Which TJ won in 2016?
Max won the Albert Goldthorpe Rookie of the year, which is where the confusion lies I think
I stand corrected, never even heard of that though.
Does it really count if it's run by the Rugby Leaguer & League Express?
Which is obviously a joke, credit to Max - my opinion is still my opinion and will be until he changes that. It seems people are presuming I don't have any respect for him at all, as I've previously stated I rate him in attack, it's his defensive efforts and confidence under a high ball that bothers me. Two errors in two games that have both led to tries that should back my point up.

There is no more unforgivable error than the one Grix made against Saints in the 8s.
