Not decided yet, but my money would be on Friday 11th May as Town play Arsenal at home on the Sunday (or swap the fixture to BV?)
Don`t the FA have a 48 hour pitch rule? Meaning that even if it was played on Friday night then it still would not be allowed. So looks like either Thursday night or it will be played at BV.

But we play on the Sunday before, good chance this will be held at BV?
A lot of the stuff with the Giants seems to stem back to the perceived protection that they were given all those years ago and the subsequent "merger" with Sheffield, who's place they effectively took in SL (we're all still waiting for them to play some games in Sheffield as part of the deal). Add to this they way thet they behaved when we were in the mire a few seasons ago, when they raped and pillaged our squad. Fans will always look for something to have a pop about with the opposition of the day and let's face it, they certainly have a better ground, albeit, just a tad too big for RL.
I get your point about going round the pubs of Huddersfield but, we ought to start that one a little closer to home. Also, when its there to be flung, the mud goes in both directions
we did get relegated in the end though and served our punishment and won promotion.
those years finishing bottom of the league damaged the club no end, we lost a generation of fans..not many 20/30yr olds come watch the giants, they were lost, it wasnt good watching the team get thrashed every week believe me!
i could throw back at wakefield that they have been done favours by the rfl in recent times with the stadium not being upto sl standard so shouldnt have been given a license.
players come and go from clubs its just the way it is, wakefield havent done so bad from us in recent times.. kirmond, grix, huby , wood etc
we have a really good academy nowadays and are producing our own which we have done for a while now crabtree, mcgillvary, cudjoe, lawrence, jake connor, leeming, mcintosh and more in the pipe line (two 17yr old twins played the other week).
giants doing it tough right now and competing with a thriving football club but things will change again... be a few years but we have had some good recent times with two cup finals, few years of semi final play offs and a league leaders shield.. wakefield cant still only dream of these.

Whilst I understand your post, I do have to take issue when you talk about players coming and going between the 2 clubs. However, there is a world of difference in players moving clubs in the open market and the likes of Huddersfield "working with the administrator" and getting players on the cheap. In fact, some were so cheap that it could be argued that you club helped make the hole deeper for Wakefield.
As far as the license went, Trinity only survived due to Crusaders withdrawing their application at the very last minute and we all know that Trinity may not have been alive at all, had they (Crusaders) found some cash.
The ground issue is well documented and right now, Trinity are "fined" around £200k per season for the state of their facilities (money withheld from their "share") I'm not sure this helps one of the poorest clubs in the comp.
Given our record against Huddersfield in the SL era, you should be wanting Trinity to stay in the comp for as long as possible.

Kirmond, Grix, Huby , Wood... Really?
Kirmond was a bit part squad player at Hudds and made his name at Wakefield, Grix and wood were slated by your fans and Huby you wasn't too bothered about either after half your squad fell out with him when his team mate did the dirty on him, basically what i am saying is that in your clubs eyes we did you a favour taking those players off of your hands.
When it comes to our players for years you cherry picked our best young performers year after year waving Kens money in front of their faces. Its almost as if Wakefield was the only place you could source players.
If we cant pull our game against KR forward then it should be Sunday that way we play 3 Sunday’s on the bounce with a weeks rest between games. Maybe kick it off earlier to avoid clash with any TV game as well.

Aren’t Kirby and English from Wakefield amateur clubs?
Aren’t Kirby and English from Wakefield amateur clubs?
isn't Christian Akroyd from Illingworth amateur club and didn't we have a lad from Cumbria Liam Paisley for a while, lads will play for who they want and what they get offered, you can't force someone to play for you
be thankful that we still have players wanting to play rugby in this area
