Anyone on here associated with local teams who can help out?

I'm the chairman of one of the cities community and I have on many occasions written WMDC, all my local councillors, my local parish councillors and local MP, only my MP has shown any interest in helping, and most of the Wakefield public hate her for her stance on Brexit.
I've also made it clear on here and on other public forums And directly with MC himself that's I am willing to put £1000 in to the legal fighting fund, so yes there are people associated with local sports clubs willing to help out :thumb:

Sorry to sound thick but the letter mentions 60,000m3, it does not say this has to be the footprint. If a building is multi story does the area of each floor add to this?

No and this is one of the many issues with Newcold.
Had it been built to its original height and with the same cubic metres as it is now AND counted towards the trigger point, we wouldn't have been all that far off at all and this is where the anger and resentment towards Yorkcourt and WMDC stems from.

Do you honestly think that a group of half witted nice person Councillors from Hemsworth, Fryston, Ponte and South Elmsall will firstly have an inkling of the background to this sorry story let alone have any understanding of the facts, process, legal arguments. Absolutely no chance they are a bunch of Box`s strategically based dullards who will do as they are told or they will be removed from the planning committee and lose their seat on the expense gravy train. They will have zero knowledge, zero understanding and zero interest. The outcome of the vote has been pre determined, Box will have decided which way he wants it to go and as with all the committees it is staffed with his stooges, his lap dogs. They simply do as they are told. I have spoken to Labour Councillors on the planning committee and they simply have no idea. They simply do as they are told and collect their £ 30 k a year in expenses.

That is an amazingly generous offer and im sure MC and the Trust are very appreciative!

What i was trying to get at was we need to demonstrate that the community facilities are desperately needed and not just focus on a new stadium for Trinity.

If we could get 20 or so local sporting teams, whether they are football teams, rugby teams or whatever, to submit objections it backs the council into the corner even more! Other organisations could be approached, schools, colleges...charities?

Even if they decide to make the latest application count toward the trigger point, is there going to be enough space to build what was originally promised? baring in mind also that HS2 might be cutting through the site by the sounds.

Certainly are, especially when you hear things like I did on the news on the way to work that children's obesity is costing us £5billion a year.

It would be interesting to hear from Wakefield College because I remember they were going to get use of them - don't know if it was just who could use them or what.

If WMDC were complicit in circumventing their obligations,as outlined by the SOS, it begs the question WHY.

Sorry I should have read my post before posting, I've missed the bit that states I'm the chairman of a community "sports club" so that's 1 of the 20 you're after :thumb:

We did this at the original consultation - I arranged for the Principal of one of the district's biggest schools (and an NLE, or 'Superhead') to attend and speak in support of the application to remove the land from green belt, on the basis that we needed more community facilities, and of the benefits physical activity has on the educational outcomes for young people.

I don't know if it would be possible now - most schools are part of academy chains, and they're very political animals; their CEO's may not be permitted to weigh in to an action that pits them against WMDC.
