We haven't had a side which is playing well in a couple of seasons now, just the odd lucky win. There's nothing to lose by removing the lazy senior players and replacing them with someone who might have a spark of desire to win about them.
Under the current coach, there's little to no chance of them seeing any progression, he's more interested in keeping his golfing buddies sweet than developing the squad
I still disagree.
Our backs 1 - 5 are ok (obviously, injuries to Johnstone and now Kershaw doesn't help).
However our problems yesterday stemmed from lack of ANY organisation from our 2 halves and an utterly inept pack, which left us forcing the play, with crazy offloads and having absolutely no clue with ball in hand in their half of the field.
I know that we have Batch and Crowther who can com in, plus Green and Arona but, if there is a young prop or halfback in the reserves/academy that is up to the task, I would be staggered.
Much as we would all love to have a couple of young kids coming through, I think that it's just wishful thinking to say "get the kids in".
Yes they would bring some enthusiasm but, yesterday needed our pack to match theirs and someone to deal with McIllorum, who was getting away with murder in the ruck and NOBODY did a damn thing about it.
The 20% win record says enough to know that there needs to be some change here.
Our halves weren't up to the job and the forwards didn't want to know.
Nobody has mentioned our kicking game which was bloody woeful, the worst for a long time.
