Doesn't work like that with me, I don't bet so I don't do predictions.

I simply believe we will win until it is either technically no longer possible or the team I'm watching is clearly not up for it. It's that simple and I certainly never write us off before the game has even started.

Not to say Saints aren't a better team overall or that it's not a huge ask, but all games are winnable even if some are clearly more winnable than others

I suspect I'm more in line with the coaching ethos at the club than you are, or at least let's hope so.

Saying every game is winnable is completely lame isn't it?! Truly believing we will actually win is a totally different thing altogether. Anyway, I hope you are right and we do pull it off, then you can buy everyone a beer with your winnings......!! Hypothetically speaking......

How is it? I don't get that at all.

Truly believing you will win or lose whether a Trinity fan or a Saints fan is truly lame unless, of course, you can predict the future. Works both ways .

Talking of commentators, the best quote of the night I thought was from Barrie McDermott who said that the referee had, had a very good game, all I can say is he must have been watching on his blind side.

CC was a coach (allegedly). I wonder if he thought that way. You are definitely Alligning yourself with PT's philosophy. I remember the days when your posts had a bit of an "edge" to them. You're mellowing vasty old chap

The opening post by Trin Trin summed the game up for me last night .We went toe to toe for long periods with outstanding tackling but saints were faster in every facet of the game ,they are up in your face cutting down to a minimum any ideas or moves you have .We made plenty of clear break and on a different day and team they would have been tries ,but they are like a swarm of angry bees and all over you in attack and defence, and swiftly snuffed out the threat . Our try came from a chip over the onrushing defence for Johnstone to touch down ,but when we were actually on saints line they had the measure of our pedestrian attack . We won’t play team that brutal until we get them at home ,and hopefully we have a full compliment of players at our disposal to go one step further . To hold saints to four points in the second half is simply outstanding as we were knocked from pillar to post but stuck to our guns ,with special praise to fifita who ripped into them like his old self ,but the team as a whole defended to a level I haven’t seen for a very long time . Lino and gaskill were missed going forwards especially on saints line where we were comfortably corralled by saints ,quickly closing down any move before it looked threatening. IMO we are building something special at the club under poaching and am looking forwards to see us against, dare I say the regular teams in the comp .

I see Gaskell as good cover for fullback and halves that will push for a spot.

I think he’s a good squad player which is no bad thing at all. Lino and Miller played well together last season and it would be good to get them back on the same pitch.
