No. 8 years of pain and ridicule has been horrendous.
But it's a good start, and it is such a relief to get that horrible losing streak over

I agree.

I look at it this way, eventually we would win.

What makes last night exceptional is the timing. If you’re going to break a hoodoo then doing it when your SL future is at stake makes it a far bigger event.

I was torn last night as to what gave me the most pleasure. The points or finally beating Cas. Obviously it’s the points but it’s still a massive bonus.

Well worth the wait
I've been a critic of Willie, because until the Saints game, I couldn't understand our style of play or some team selections.
I now eat humble pie and am enjoying it! Well done WP and the players.
It's not over yet - can the same effort be put in against Catalans? After the last two games you'd have to consider we're good enough to turn them over at BV!
IF only that same effort had been there all season (as it has to be with 'good' clubs we'd be near the top not fighting relegation -again)

I’ve been critical of Poching and rightly so imho.

I thought he got it right against Saints, certainly compared to previous weeks.

This week spot on.

A sensible team selection against a weakened Cas team. Good tactics but above all he got his substitutes spot on. It’s Pochings substitutions that have worried me all season, to the point that as someone who rarely questions coaches was in despair.

What I liked was that I suspect he played Dave for longer minutes than planned. In the past he would rigidly have spelled Dave but he was clearly up for it and he left him on.

I also think Battye has redound some of his form and Poching has used him well as an impact player.

He’s also finally found a purpose for Gaskell at last, he’s looked pretty useful of late. I think it’s where he belongs, he seems to manage far better at centre than anywhere else which I must admit has surprised me.

Finally Shaul may prove a key signing. You can tell when a player buys into the Trinity vibe of everybody hates us and we don’t care.

So we’ll done WP, you’ve held your nerve, can’t say I did.

It’s far from over and will probably go all the way now but that’s a huge improvement on where we were a few weeks ago when I felt it was really over this time.

Your correct you have been very critical of poching and the team which as left me scratching my head.
Maybe you could clarify your position, after your brutal and ruthless comments, do you now think poching is the right man for the job, or do you still think he needs replacing as he's well out of his depth.
Can you also clarify your position on the team, the hopeless, rubbish, gutless, deadwood team as you've described them at times.
It's so unlike you so don't be frit and make your mind up, flip flop flip flop flip flop

Superb effort from all the team personally I thought Arona was outstanding. I noticed at the end of the game Miller got a huge hug from Radders the Cas coach
Tells a story that Miller will be there next season

You don't need to eat humble pie YOU WERE RIGHT! And there is a way to go yet.

However like you I think its clicked a bit in the last few games and it would be churlish to say otherwise. Going right back to that defeat by Leeds at home the team selections and substitutions have been baffling at times and clearly didn't work. However WP seems now to have accepted the laws of RL and not tried to turn base metal into gold. Wingers on the wing, forwards where they should be, subs made when needed and not to some rigid plan.

If he carries on like this then we may stay up and if we do he gets my vote, purely because he's clearly learning.

It's a results driven game something you spout on endlessly about so how you have the nerve to come on here and say that after what you did to Chester is unbelievable. You went out of your way to destroy that mans career, and don't think folk don't know because they do.

You've done yourself no favours (you really don't think the club noticed your endless slagging of them), you got yourself binned by Kear and Wigan and so on and so on. There may still be a silly little group who hang on your every word but I notice most of your old mates keep you at arms distance these days. Why do you think that is?

Have a good hangover morning.

I asked you to clarify your position on poching and the team. I could write it again in capital letters if it's easier to understand for you. Come on vasty don't be frit. You have bagged and slagged the team and coach for weeks do the honourable thing and admit you were wrong or you lacked the knowledge needed to comment.

It's all here, if you could be bothered to read.

In reply to 1315trinity on this very thread, if you were not so dumb you'd have seen it.

"You don't need to eat humble pie YOU WERE RIGHT! And there is a way to go yet.

However like you I think its clicked a bit in the last few games and it would be churlish to say otherwise. ANYWAY NOTHING MORE TO SAY TO YOU AS PEOPLE ARE JUST TRYING TO ENJOY A RARE GOOD DAY, BE NICE IF YOU'D LET THEM, THERES A GOOD LAD. :HAND:

He's learning at last and where we are in a month time will decide his future and our future and I'll give my opinion FWIW then. However two good performances and one win doesn't make this any less of a horrendous season. I know you're pathetically trying to make out I've 'flip fopped' as you call it or some such bull by being critical. Well you tell me how you can't be critical of most of this seasons efforts, don't be frit.

ANYWAY NOTHING MORE TO SAY TO YOU AS PEOPLE ARE JUST TRYING TO ENJOY A RARE GOOD DAY, BE NICE IF YOU'D LET THEM, THERES A GOOD LAD. :HAND:

Awww have I upset you by asking you to clarify your position, it's just typical of you to come back with insults and name calling. You slaughter posters on here but quite simply you don't like it up you. I didn't abuse you or belittle you, I simply asked for you to clarify your position after you have also slaughtered the coach and team. If there is any of this you don't understand please pm me.
