The longer the club goes on without anyone high up with a genuine rugby league background or experience we’ll never go anywhere, who gives the advice to business men to make rugby related decisions?

Not sure about this if true.
To be honest I’m a bit underwhelmed at the thought of it.
The lad may be a good coach at lower level but is unproven at senior level. Time will tell I just hope the club make the right choice!

I suppose he will have the total respect of the acadamy players that have (and can now) step up....

Yes so am I agreeing with you, we can only be in an alternative universe but the question is will it help sell season tickets, I just don’t see how it will. The other problem is what gravitas does he have amongst players we are looking to sign. With regards Peet he was in a different situation, Wigan had a good squad and are a big name in SL we have offloaded most of ours and how do you sell Trinity to a possible new signing.

He managed the reserves this season mixed full of senior and youth. Where did they end up? In the grand final.

Also last year he managed the academy into arguably the best in the league.

Maybe not my choice and it is a high risk play but success seems to come to the teams he coaches and they play a effective brand of rugby.

If it’s him he should be afforded chance to prove people he can do it. It may not be though so let’s wait and see.
