No surprise to me or anyone else seriously involved in the club.
It’s also about time and I mean that is a good way.
Ten years at any club is long enough but at Trinity it’s a lifetime and people need to realise that.
It takes its toll and even someone as capable as MC will have struggled noticeably in recent years from what I see.. It’s just my opinion but he’s not quite the bubbly. Person he was five years ago and I totally understand why. I mean how many CEO have faced a pandemic!
We all have our moment and each moment has a lifespan and MC has possibly reached his. He was the right man for the job in 2013 and for a while gave us imo the best team we’ve had since late 1970s imho and real stability.
This is his choice and I don’t blame him, it must be draining and with very little reward.
I wish him all the best.
I to have stopped posting on here as I believe my time is up and if MC feels half as relieved as I do he’s made the right choice. You can only throw yourself into the fray so many times.
Over to JM now to be totally in charge I presume. I also wish him and his sanity all the best.
I know this falls on deaf ears with many but please please try to be patient, it’s within our grasp now and as they say it’s always darkest before the dawn.
