A full extensive pre-season , 15 games in and we still look like a team who’s met up a few days ago .Owners apart , it beggars belief watching the team fumbling and bumbling their way through 80 mins ,with not even the basic moves at anything like a decent speed ,looping passes or grass cutters being the normal way the ball moves down the line .Easy to see why Leigh had very little trouble defending our pedestrian attacking structures even when down to 11 . Offloads have become a thing of the past unless the clock is running down and the game is already gone ,then we have a burst of passing the ball and actually looking like they’ve remembered that skill set ,but always too little too late ,our game consists of 5 drives and a kick if we are lucky enough to actually get to a kick without spilling the ball . When you can’t get the very basics of RL right,like amateurs are doing every weekend , let alone actual attacking structures and defending patterns that are effective ,it’s a very sad indictment on coach and players in equal measures for my mind ,even before we start on our abysmal recruitment and retentions.
