I don’t actually blames the halves their only problem appears to be they are trying to cover for our deficiencies in other areas. They have no dummy runners or second phase to work from, so they try to compensate for this by doing too much. I accept their kicking game is not the best but when you consider that when Brough played his was equally unimpressive therefore the actual problem must be elsewhere.
We just don’t have a team game plan what we have is each player acts independently.

Lots of players tend to cover the stand off role these days, Miller can do that, we need a scrum half, end of.

We get it. You blame Chester.

Personally, although I get that we need forward power and some of our forwards are not performing (or past it) but I still think a good scrum half would improve the forwards too.
Finishing the plays properly will give us more energy in the forwards.

You only have to look at the difference Tim Smith made to Kirmond.

If the shoe fits, unfortunately yes. Wish we could see more consistency than these odd flash in the pans. Love the club but it's bloody purgatory watching these last play kicks and headless chicken unstructured routines.

Am I right in thinking no dummy runners,or no second phases is down to bad coaching or is it like the slow basic rugby we are playing according to some fans not Mr Chesters falt.So why we got a coach ,is it to keep players fit ,i do not think he is doing a good job of that .But gess that's not is falt

If the coach has to tell the Hooker to run from dummy half then the coach needs to buy a new Hooker.

The coach needs to train them with a game plan based on watching the opposition and finding gaps in their play. I regret and yes I blame Chester we have no game plan and therefore every performance is the same. We appear to adopt the inside ball quite a lot which unfortunately fools nobody.
I do not see that the addition of a scrum half will change anything because we will still be coached the same way.
