[quote="dids858"]How much more time do Castleford need when I lived there 7 years ago you were just about start building the ground.
Ditto for WAKEY, HOW MANY SITES IS IT NOW ????????
All this inter club bickering is doing no-one any favours, blaming a councillor who follows one club for the trouble both clubs are in is just stupid.
Look at the facts Wakey have funding but have a fight with the green belt cowboys and so called Nimbys along with the might of Leeds council (though what the feck it has to do with them) against Newmarket, whilst Cas have the groundwork done and the outline planning (not due to expire as waystone have signed the needed documents) and architects working on the design, but have a shortfall in funding.
The council say they are going to make a decision over which plan to adopt, if we want Superleague it has to be Glasshoughton due to the timescale fighting off all the objectors at newmarket. If were not bothered about Superleague then it will be Newmarket as its apparrently paid for.
What I would like to hear is , that if one or the other is picked, does the remaining scheme go on the back burner for development in the future ( which means a temp share) or will it be scrapped ( which means the end of one or both clubs when the Clowns at red hall insist on the merger)
I think we (both clubs) are in a no win situation and should just carry on as we were not be ruled by some spurious council decision.
Scary isnt it ???
