I made exactly this point a number of months ago - and it's even truer now than it was then; there has been far to much focus on this as a stadium for WT, and very little mention of the developers obligation to the Wakefield public in return for being gifted pp on green belt land. Mr Box has exploited that with his latest stunt, and the club/trust seem happy to let it stand.
For a bright bloke you're not being very smart. They are not letting anything stand but in case you have not worked it out this one is almost certainly going to court.
The last thing we need is for some emotive inaccurate comment to come back and haunt us. Let the council lackey do that.
It will be the job of the legal team to decide how we fight it. I'm certain the community element will be a keystone don't you.
The club are probably staying quiet so that it doesn't become a club issue. Leave it to the trust an organisation that represents all.
Finally why are are some falling into the trap of thinking this will in anyway cost the council! Apart from the fact that it forces them to fulfill their obligation both developments will bring them a great deal of money in through rates and new jobs even excluding the stadium and other facilities.
Don't fall for it - they have managed it with Cas they can mange it with us - the cost to the Council is tiny.
