Where we seem to differ on opinion is that it was completely unnecessary. I'd rather they concentrated on getting the deal done than having to deal with "malicious rumours".

Good grief PT, The club is rank from top to bottom, we've no money, we've tonnes of debt, we've our worst squad in.sl history , we've not won a game, the club is an embarrassment on the verge of relegation and some of you lot are still hanging on the messiahs every word and throwing yourselves at his feet. So are you saying the 'rumours' were in fact true and Carter is now lying?
Should we be hanging on your every word instead?

Some people are delusional.
The communication levels have been crap for a while. E.G. listening to Mark Applegarth interviews made me look for the number of Dignitas.
This statement could have been issued earlier if it was already in hand as stated. That’s how you keep people in the loop, cut out the crap and try to raise at least some morale in what, as is stated is the legacy of the worst season in many peoples memory. If this is classified as moaning, I’d rather be a moaner than live in cloud cuckoo land. If this is at due diligence stage then I’m delighted and sat here with my clear glass half full and clear lensed glasses. Up the Trin.

So just on the press release that PT says wasn't necessary and wasn't catalysed by anyone lying about the rent for the East Stand, if you think that information has been thin on the ground up to date, well it will be non existent for the next 4 weeks as they do some serious DD. There will be information and financial embargoes galore - unless expressly agreed by The Board / Ellis Consortium.

So that's 4 more weeks worth of arguments on here then. At least.
