I know what you mean. I’ve never seen a player who manages to be the MOM and the worst player on the park in the same game.
In that infamous Saints game he was having a blinder when under no pressure he had a monumental brain fart. I understand why some resent him. Most will forgive mistakes but some are almost indefensible and that was one.
I’ve watched that game a few times since and his actions still baffle me. They are rookie errors from a player who isn’t a rookie and had no excuse and his entire career was the same.
That said I liked him because he gave us something but he was never going to be a genuine contender, there was something missing.
Because he managed some great plays he got away with it where others wouldn’t, definitely a maverick.
