I believe DB was prevented a few years back from establishing an academy (leading into reserves etc) by the RFL as it could dilute the player pool for the other SL teams on our doorstep.

I agree that it should be a SL requirement.

Saving themselves around £300,000 a year according to Carter , you can see now why they have a decent first team , by ignoring the rest . Our recruiting hasn’t been the best but another £300,000 on players would have surely helped our cause

Interesting few month coming up for Wigan’s landlords who are being petitioned for a winding up order from HMRC for unpaid taxes on the 26th of July .

Same with Salford and the £350,000 they fail to pay on their rent.

Salford Council have to pay it as guarantors.

Then there's the bucket-rattling and the additional loans from their council.

This is not "revenue" on which to develop the club - it's to avoid going bust before this season is over.

I'm sure we'd look better on the field if we didn't pay our bills.

He was recalled by Warrington and was in their squad last weekend.

Fev fans wanted him back, he has done well for them but its generally not difficult to play half back when they are dominating most games.
