Clearly the new IMG system (an organisation employed by The RFL) has created a set of criteria that, in the time scale given, made it impossible for certain clubs (London included) to achieve a sufficiently high grading to become/remain in SL so, in essence, either deliberately or in consequence, this falls on their lap.
Fundamentally, relegating a promoted club, before a ball is passed / kicked is just wrong.
Given the pre determined timescales, there was nothing that London could do to remain in the top flight, which stinks the house out.
The same situation would have occurred if any of the other smaller Champ clubs had been promoted last season, not just London.

It doesn’t fall on IMG or the RFLs lap that London can’t meet the criteria that many other do. It falls squarely on London’s lap. Or do you think that the whole criteria should be made to make it easier for specific clubs or London to achieve. It is the same for all and just because some teams don’t yet meet that benchmark doesn’t mean that it stinks.
You think it stinks because you don’t like the fact London dont meet the criteria. This does not mean that the criteria or plan won’t be successful. It’s just your personal opinion based on your own feelings towards London. I will call it sympathy but this is sport and the professional world. London will have to work to the criteria like other clubs who don’t make bench and that’s part of the point.
