Unfortunately this is how I feel about the current dire situation.
Webster 'we're not big enough down the middle' is getting tiring....Last night he had these in the pack...Scruton (6ft 1 17 stone), Kavanagh (6ft 2 17 stone), Dan Smith (6ft 2 17 stone), Jon Molloy (6ft 1 16 stones), Mickael Simon (6 ft 2 16 1/2 stone), Ali Lauitiiti (6 ft 3 tall 18 stones), Matt Ryan (6ft 5 tall, 16 stones).....It seems to suggest that he would like to sign yet another prop forward and probably try to off load Sammut who has turned into another Mellars type signing....
Going back to basics for defensive coaching a team in mid season that had a full pre season to sort out their defensive structures.
Bang on.
Our defence hasn't been right for 4 years.
Yes, we've done ok in some games but, the problem has been there for some time.
There is certainly a lack of the collective team ethos and far too often players are looking at each other, instead of covering for each other.
I'm no Salford fan but, whatever Tim Sheens instilled in them a few weeks ago has certainly worked and even without many of their first choice
players, they are working as a team. We on the other hand are not.
Webster has adopted a losing mentality and it clearly shows with our performances. 496 points against in 12 games says everything.
Let's hope that we are saving ourselves for the cup !
