I like Anakin for many reasons, He is the last of the great title winning under 18 team that were a joy to watch, at that time he was one of the very best players of his age group, he was mismanaged but has stuck with the club, he steps up and gives 100 % when asked. He has sat matches out and never spat his dummy, when given a chance he does his best. I would go so far as to say he is a Mr Reliable, a club stalwart. For me he could become legend, a player who despite the ups and downs is always there for us. Never forget the Bradford million pound game, he was immense that day. He suffered a bad injury last season, and has returned leaner and fitter. He has again given his all for us this season. He takes the tough carries, he is never a soft tackle , he hits as hard as he can. He plays like Trinity means something to him and that endears him to me. So for me he is my man of the season. I fear that his agent will make unrealistic demands that may result in a move.
I know he's joking frank and I hope they give him another contract, while we're on the subject of belly why don't you ask him to tell you how good a player we've got in Baldwinson because he'll have seen him often enough to know, you'll then be able to tell those daft enough to believe you that you knew all about him.

In all seriousness you do make a compelling case for Anakin. I agree with what you say but I'd say he is the man for ALL seasons, not the man of the season. He isn't the best player this year. If he's happy to play like he does as often as he does then I'm all for him seeing out his career at Wakefield.....and I can see me voting for him to get future contracts and end of season awards but he isn't the best player we have or the best player in any of the seasons he's played. But that's OK. Neither are most of the others.
All that and i think he was referring to the inclusion of Hirst in the 3 nomination not Fifita
All what, the first paragrapth was my response and the rest is my own thoughts on player of the years. Anyway even after reading it again, he may have been referring to hirst but it's not really clear is it, especially as he mentions Fifita at the start and then goes on from there. Can't be just me, a poster below you has read it the same way as I did.

By the way, what's with the emoticons?
Seems pretty clear to me that i was referring to hirst not fifita - why would i call a non starting prop someone who has started as many games as he's come off bench. I may be illiterate but i can see and count, anyway going back to the case for hirst as player of season really ? over wood, must have played more minutes than any other member of squad, David f who's the best impact forward we have thats transformed several games, mr consistent ashurst , or the dynamo thats tiny arona, tbh would have hurst below about another 5 players imo.

Getting a bit desperate now aren't you Chissa old lad. I can always tell, your punctuation and grammar become none existent. I put it down to your inner rage, after all you're not used to people who don't show you the respect you clearly feel you deserve.
I don't respect you at all by the way, you silly old sausage
PS: Did you enjoy the game last Thursday, still don't here you mention it much?
