When you’ve watched the game I think you may retract that statement,Walker is defo not the half we require to compete at that level last night ,his chip over for Johnstone was top draw and he definitely needs to be in the squad but he’s not a half back at least no at this level yet . Loose forward /second row for me everyday of the week , cracking pair of hands ,good tackler but too slow with ball in hand .I know I’ll have put some noses outa joint ,but walkers future for me isn’t at half back ,and I know the lad is filling in and didn’t let anyone down ,but for me the pace that’s required isn’t there .just my opinion as an other armchair coach .

I like Walker and while I think he’s a decent option for injury cover at 6 I agree on that he most definitely has the makings of a good loose. He has the hands and a decent boot to give extra options.

I obviously haven’t had chance to watch the game yet and I totally accept that Lino and Miller are the rest halfbacks at the club… I really like Walker… he has a footballers brain and remember he’s cutting his teeth at half back against the best defence in Superleague… I fancy him at LF but have no complaints about his contribution at half.

I agree with this .Walker could bring some thing we have not had at Wakefield for a long time, a,skilled lose forward.Wishful thinking but if he turns out half as good as A Farral, D Fox he will do for me.

I take my hat off to everyone of those players that stood up to saints so courageously ,I meant no disrespect to Walker or any other player who battled hard all game ,they all played their part and did the club proud and never once let their heads go down .we won’t play another team as powerful in every department as saints until we get them at home ,but I believe it will have done us the power of good going forwards for our mental toughness and commitment.I was proud as punch for the lads and the club ,who so many look down upon.
