Have trinity not had the opportunity to sign him or offer him a deal for 2023 throughout all of 2022? They would have secured him should they wish.

There are positives to this for all sides :

1. Trinity save on wages.
2. Wakefield Trinity get to see how Aydin can plays without the risk of playing a player they’re not sure on.
3. Wakefield trinity are not standing in the way of a young players opportunity to try and secure a contract.
4. Leeds play Toulouse next so even if it slightly improved Leeds chances of a win then this benefits Trinity.

1. How do you know that Aydin hasn't been playing the waiting game for a better offer? If so, we're giving another club the chance to try a player we know is off contract that we want to retain. Sound non risky to you?

2. Do you really think Aydins wages for a month will make a difference?

3. Why haven't the club given this player more opportunities themselves. When instead we add a player to the roster who has had a chance and failed miserably so far.

4. See above.

5. I can agree with that.

So there is no negative for Wakefield if Aydin impresses coaching staff and other players at Leeds during his loan and it convinces Leeds to sign him next year? That will be so insignificant to the club and there is no risk this will happen at all?

I'm saying that big clubs such as Leeds Rhinos, Wigan Warriors and Saints will be fully aware of the potential of many young players across the leagues including our guys Aydin, Eseh, Shaw and even the likes of Leon Ruan who we released. Two games for Aydin off their bench and a few training sessions is hardly likely to have a major implication.
Leeds taking two points off Toulouse this weekend could go a long way in preventing us losing a few more players than just Yusef.

If we wanted to retain him that badly we would have done it before he was free to talk to any other club. The fact that we haven’t speaks volumes in itself. I don’t get why you keep going on about this ‘risky’ business. It’s not as if we are talking about a lad who’s been or is an integral part of the match day squad. Any club is free to sign him or talk to him so the risk is no greater than that.

The club obviously haven’t given him the opportunity because they think we have better options or because he’s not ready or good enough either now or yet. We still presently do have at least 4 better options ahead of him therefor can afford a short term loan. That’s all it is.

This has nothing to do with another player. We are discussing Aydin.

You keep throwing ‘what ifs’ about. The simple fact is that he hasn’t pulled up any trees or managed to force his way into a regular spot. Why I don’t know but that is fact. You obviously have a high opinion of Aydin but the club here have nothing to answer for.

It’s a good move for all parties. Let’s just agree to disagree as our opinions differ and i can accept that.

So the loan is completely insignificant to Leeds and they have already decided that they will / won't be offering him a contract?

How do you know we haven't offered him a contract are you 100% certain that, that is the case? Because if not this sounds like a "what if" to me.

My point has never been that he's better than this player or that. My point is that this presents Leeds with an opportunity to look at an up and coming player currently on our books that me may / may not retain. Irrespective of his contract situation with us - the loan could potentially sway Leeds to offer him a contract. So there is an element of risk with the loan deal in my opinion.

There is already that risk with or without the loan.

I do not know if he’s been offered a contract but I’m pretty sure in my previous post I already said that we may have but there may be a disagreement between club and player on value. For whatever reason the fact remains that he is free to talk to who he want to.

If it sways Leeds to offer a contract then so what. We will offer a contract we think he’s worth and so will Leeds (which they can do with or without this loan). Should Trinity or Leeds wish to revise their offer based on his performances on loan they are free to do so. Aydin will do what’s best for Aydin.

There’s honestly no drama in this move.

But the risk becomes greater with the loan. It's only applicable to Leeds and no one else. But Leeds get a chance to see if they like him or not and Aydin gets the chance to impress in training. Prior to his contact running out. Without the loan neither of these scenarios happen. You ever not taken a car for a test drive?

He could flop and in 3 weeks we can have a giggle about this thread. But can you accept there's a chance he might do well and consequently Leeds will offer him a deal off the back of it?

So you want to keep him hidden away so he can't get a contract next season? Nice.

If your using a car as an example then we’ve had that car parked up in our car park for the last few years. We’ve had plenty of time to inspect and purchase it but for whatever reason haven’t.

We can also just let it sit in the parking lot and rot or get some money renting it out.

I don’t see much risk because I don’t value Aydin contributions to the squad as that high. I would much rather us invest in Eseh and possibly Shaw.
