Anyway moving on, Fox Sports in Australia reporting we were one of the Super League clubs looking at signing James Tamou. Sounds though like he wasn’t keen and is signing for the Cowboys over there instead.

No less than 3 members of the forum backed up the same “rumour” with evidence but you still wanted to play high and mighty until you were provided with a link.

Forum members are not reliable sources of info, full stop. I take it you're not actually Timmy Smith? So why would any sane person take yours or anyone elses word on anything, pray tell.

Wasn't having a pop by the way, I suspect you do know a thing or two, but all sources have to be treated with suspicion on here.

No idea if true but North Queensland or Wakefield, no brainer really.

FWIW I suspect we showed nothing more than an interest, doesn't strike me a a Trinity signing good though he is.

I don't care about the rumour like you do Vasty. Your appalling tone towards others is what bothers me. Demanding a link when you have already been given the info suggests you think your better than everyone else.

I was using your terminology! I don’t get what you’re trying to prove here. Are you telling yourself in the mirror with tears running down your face that “I know better than big bad Craig Harrison”? It’s ok Vasty, I’m here for you baby boy.

Nobody is providing you with a link, because as Marc pointed out there is no reporting line on here and you’re not my boss. I’ve given you ample information, cut out the “I can’t be bothered” and go find it.

I haven’t been caught out on anything, he literally said what I backed up but I didn’t make the initial post so regardless of what you’re telling yourself, I’m not wrong here. Is Craig Harrison? Perhaps. Are you? More than likely as usual.

Put crudely thats 18K a player on average. I'd guess those players alone would be on a minimum of 40K a season and I'm being very mean there. That's 400K, leaving 30K to split between 14 players! That's 2.2K P/A!!!

I know I'm purely guessing but I'm doing so based on the Gaskell 100K+ figure and that has to be right surely.

Sorry if my maths may be slightly out, I've rushed this post a bit but you get the idea.

Figures don't stack up and as we know with Mr Carter the figures always have to stack up.

I thought we were spending a little more now.

It does pretty much sums it up, though I would have had Miller in the higher bracket. I also dont think Lyne's would be that high.

Although 9 years out of date now, but just to summarise, our top earners were on around £75-£80k back then, with then about 4 or 5 on around £60k

Going rate yes, but not for a player with Gaskells injury record it isn't, the club isn't stupid.

It’s what i was told at the time and given who it was it is highly likely to be accurate enough. He might have been having my pants down but i doubt it. Whether people want to believe some bloke on a forum or not is a personal choice for them i guess. As for the overall figure it came from Carter's number in an interview. Probably Chesters last season. The figure will have likely changed for the upcoming season.

It would have struck me a pension top-up kind of signing. Leave them for Warrington.
