however this is not kids rugby pal, its super league. I bet you like everyone else cheers when a bit of a bust up on the field goes up ? I do, and every one around me appears to do so, fights go on, punches get thrown, if we ban every player for venting anger then we will be like football with players rolling around like big queens
I agree up to a point BUT how many thousands of KIDS watched that game and now feel its ok to do punch on the field, after all it seems its ok with the RFL and no doubt if they do it the refs won't mind.

"Stosic suffered a broken eye socket after the incident in the 68th minute but Potter felt it was accidental."

it was a quick jab that certainly made his eye winch,
on reflection seeing it again in slow mo the hand was still was holding the ball but he made sure that it hit home when he through his hand upwards in his face, cunningham has the winning spirit within him and I don't think he is a dirty player, but at the time felt very hard done bye as we conceded a try while we was a man down,
in the end we won the game and stosic hasn't the injury as reported, the saints have take a far bigger beating than us with two players with broken hands and another with an leg / ankle injury,

The rules are still the same, though. No punches. It's punishable by means of penalty or ban. Cunningham got neither.
And no, I DON'T cheer a fight. It's not part of the game. The harder man is the one who takes the punch and laughs in the face of the thug who did it. When I played, I remember taking a huge swinging arm to the forehead (I was moving up in the defending line, the opposition passed the ball out of play, but the winger decided to clobber me anyway as I passed him). I got up as the referee was running over, and laughed at him. I made it clear that next time I got the ball, I was going to come straight at him, and he wasn't get past me for the whole match. We got the penalty, and I scored the first try of the match from the resulting sequence of play. The next time I got the ball, I basically ran him over as he tried to tackle me. And no, he didn't make it past me at any point.
THAT'S how Rugby League should be played, not thuggishly punching a player who tackled you legitimately just because you didn't like it.
If you're watching the sport for a fight, then switch to watching Boxing or UFC, because that's where it belongs.

Sorry, but you need to expand on that. You can't just post "utter rubbish" and expect that to stand up as some sort of defence against my point. Simple as. Try again and see if you can do any better.

Did you mean to write "Big 'uns" if we're talking about Cunningham?

I watch the game for many reasons, and not for fights at all, i stated they go on, and I for one dont mind a good punch up. I know one thing, JP took it to the aussies, and without his retaliation, Mason would have crippled most of our players, sometimes, albeit not this incident, but sometimes its needed.

It was an opinion. Just as yours was. Nothing more, nothing less. Justification to a well known online troll is not my style.
