Indeed.
No one on the Leeds forum is talking about it.
One gossip column says its possible based solely on the fact he's out of contract and Leeds have a poor pack and one Cas fan who only seems to post on our forum........ I don't take that as a fact yet.

We need to offer him a good contract to give him a reason not to go but there is a limit.

he gives away at least 100 pens a year.

its a loss though as we have no one to replace him but does open up a quota spot - half back half back!


he will goes where the money is and who can blame him- when it comes down to money we just can not compete with the big clubs...

If Leeds want an out of contract player that will make them great again they'd be better going for Jackson Hastings or even Theo Fages.

For 2018
Fifita was 10th on the list of most tackles made (Trinity players only) and 19th on the Misssed tackles list - 436 made, 19 missed - About 4.2%
Ashurst was top of the tackle count and 6th in the missed tackle count - 1058 made, 46 missed - About 4.35%

For 2019 (only 2 games but..)
Fifita is 3rd in tackle count, 14th in missed tackle count - 67 made, 1 missed - Just under 1.5%
Ashurst is top in tackle count, 19th in missed tackle count - 70 made, 0 missed - 0%


Of the players around Fifita in the number of tackles made last year
England - Made 500, Missed 38 = 7.1% Missed
Miller - Made 491, Missed 107 = 17.9% Missed

Huby - Made 428, Missed 34 = 7.4% Missed
Hampshire - Made 422, Missed 52 = 11% Missed

So, of the 3 players either side of him in terms of tackles made, plus the best tackler in the club, he missed less as a percentage than any of them.
He also conceded 11 less penalties than Ashurst did (17 vs 28)

I know stats are not everything but the statement that Bozo42 made is clearly a load of tosh!!

The answer to this one is simple.
Over the years, whenever we've had real talent, it's only been a matter of time before they have been "taken" by one of the bigger clubs, (even Huddersfield took Brough ) and whilst MC and his team have done a bloody marvellous job, in both putting together and keeping the best squad that we've had in a generation, Trinity have always found a way to drop off a cliff when things have been going well.
On this basis, you can and should excuse the "worry" at the first sign of something bad being around the corner, even if its only a mickey poor rumour.

In regard of Saints fans not being worried about their own players, they are in the luxury position of being able to replace their "lost" players at the drop of a hat.
Although they haven't quite replaced the "magic" of Barba, their team as a whole is plenty good enough to fill the hole and at this stage, i'm not sure that Trinity are.

Finally, the mention of Leeds taking players is red rag to a bull as, historically, they have been the ones to plunder their local rivals during lean times, that's why all Trinity fans love them so much

This rumour is irrelevant now, after Leeds won yesterday.
All of a sudden every player has become world class and they don't need anyone!
