Just wondering why Chris Chester has looked time and again at the grounding for Johnstone's try frame by frame and says nothing was wrong.
Had it been a TV game and a video ref they wouldn't have got as far as the grounding. Johnstone's effort was disallowed for putting a foot on the touchline before launching himself and the touch judges flag immediately went up.
Result/performance aside for a second, Johnstone`s try was a perfectly good try, again 3 officials all within 1 to 2 metres of the ball on the ground, each with different angles and they cannot get it right? Picked up on it with the Catalans game finish, was given up as a no try so if there was no screen it would have been just disallowed straight away. Great piece of skill discounted all because of incompetent refereeing, also strange how not one of them spotted the clear knock on in the build up to the KR try?
Don`t think we deserved to win that game, thought we were poor and they looked the team more likely to score the whole game, but if the officials had got those calls right we probably would have come away with the 2 points.
