Our halfs often seem to struggle at international level, it’s certainly nothing to do with ability, even Hodgson who has being exceptional and lauded by all in the NRL who plays a very modern hooker game almost like a third half was poor

I can’t given a decent explanation of why

Paul Gallen gave a reason why our half backs can’t do it against Aussies and others. He said it was because their edges are far stronger at defence and attack than ours so it makes the backs work rate, passing and kicking game much better than ours, hence why the Aussie HBs look good over here and the better ones stay in NRL. A pretty good summarisation I thought.

Although I still think that Hall and Magilvary are the best we have that are fit

Very much agree that magilvary always raises his game when on the international stage
The couple of knock one we’re very much unlike him
Also think that Tonga’s extreme size and strength stopped him from playing

I am really hoping that Tommy is able to step up to international level and I believe that he and Makinson are our future international wingers

I don't think one of them was a knock on, I thought it was blatant interference tbh but the ref saw it differently.
