Have you seen a post from Chester saying both are fit, or are you just taking the word of posters on here, where there is such a confliction of the truth where some posters say they're fit this week, some say they will be back for the Hull game, i don't know who to believe, but you've clearly made your mind up. I still doubt Chester would have told them to play like they did in the second half, did he give them poor instructions on what to do in the second half or could it be they didn't take in what he actually instructed them to do, you make up your own mind.
Dave said he was clear to play on rugby AM He said he did need some match fitness I saw this with my own eyes
Green was injured in pre season He was given 6 weeks to be back 6 weeks has gone Again I saw the interview also read on social media
All that is irrelevant though as Chester said he was rewarding the team for the wire and not making any changes
The point of my original post is Chester needs to learn to be more ruthless (at times)
On the team talk at half time I don’t know what he said but we came out and completely capitulated
our goal line defense is awful ,our line attack is pedestrian .and we look the un fittest side in super league is that not what coaches would work on?
Although I was stood at the Wheldon Road end your goal line defence looked pretty impressive in that last 20 minutes considering the injuries and yellow cards. When Cas click into gear they are very hard to defend against and some times you just have to applaud the quality.

So Dave in his opinion thought he was fit to play although he did admit he lacked match fitness, maybe Chester's opinion differed to that and thought rightly or wrongly that because of the opposition he'd give him another week.
So Greens injury assessment was 6 week, it's not an exact science and it could just be he just wasn't quite ready for the game and Chester thought he'd give him another week as well, after the wire win everybody on here said it would be a travesty if Chester dropped any of those players, he didn't and said that those very players would keep their places, so why all the criticism for leaving those 2 players out plus Arona who according to some on here was weeks away , perhaps you might not always believe what's said by other people and make your own mind up.

Don't need to see the interview, if Chester say's he sees him as a prop it's his decision to make irrespective of what we believe. First of all congratulations on being a dad and a Wakey supporter, i too am also a dad and a Wakey supporter and at a guess I'm much older than you and believe me just as patient as you are if not more so by reading your post, so my frustration will probably trump yours, like I've already told you, you don't have that monopoly, let things develop it's less stressful we're only 3 games into the season. If players don't perform when they step over the whitewash for a significant chunk of time then unfortunately it lands on the head of the coach. Do you think it is harder to change a huge chunk of players or one man? When Leeds United appointed Bielsea they ultimately had the same set of players as the season before and yet managed to spend the majority of the time at the top of the table. The players didn't change but how they played did and the difference? It was the coach. Chezzie has earned himsefl time for what he achieved in his first two seasons with the club but if after say 10 games we are still struggling, do we not think it is time to re-evaluate the person who is directing the team given that this squad is probably the most expensive and technically the best we have had in super league?

That last part is exactly the point to me. It's not the value of the squad that is the issue. It's the value of the players available to play.

Adam, good point about what you said, asking if it's harder to change a huge chunk of players, or just one man. Didn't Michael Carter say something similar in 2015, when we had a our problems. He said what made it hard, was that he liked James Webster.

Couldn't agree more with that, what I am saying is we are only 3 games into the season we have players still injured from last season never mind those we've got this season, as I've already said the fans on here would have been in uproar had he not played the team that beat wire, he stuck to his word and played them, he has his finger on the pulse and just maybe he thought that Fifita and Green would benefit from another weeks rest, who knows either way it's just speculation, was it Chester's fault we gave away those penalties or the 2 sinbinings, maybe if he'd known Arundel and Hampshire would get injured that also might have changed his thinking, although you might not believe I'm not Chester's agent and what will be will be, although I hope he makes a success of this season, not for his sake alone but mainly for the clubs.

I agree in parts with what your saying , on Friday night was furious but on reflection I travelled in hope not expectation.
Looking back on tv i get it that we had a couple players out , that we played twenty minutes with 12 men, a short turn round, heavy conditions, had a second row playing in centre , one of our playmakers thought he had a broken jaw , etc etc
What I don’t get it is why in 2 away matches we’ve probably given close on 30 penalties away, that’s clearly a coaching issue
Also cas was always going to be a totally different proposition to Warrington and whilst I agree about changing a winning team we could (if fit) have brought fafita and green into the squad without displacing any of the players that played at Warrington. David fafita on one leg is more inspirational and influential than any other forward we have on two legs.
Even just having him on squad list would have lifted everyone
Sometimes, there are things beyond the control of the coach.
For me, the turning point in the Cas game was the injury to Rocky, because he wasn't the same player afterwards (for entirely understandable reasons). He didn't involve himself as much and didn't tale the line on in the same way. Dumb penalties didn't help though. Prior to the game starting, Sky pointed out that we used more players last season than any other. It's hard to criticise a coach who wants to maintain some squad consistency, particularly after a good win.
My belief is that Chester himself will decide if he can't take the players any further. The players showed plenty of spirit and hunger in the first half, so I think the desire is there to play for Chester.
No panic for me yet. Let's see how we go when the main players are back.

I agree. I was massively disappointed with our second half at Cas but, we started to lose shape when Arundel went off and Hampshire just wasn't as effective (understandably so). When we have something close to our first choice pack, we should be a match for anyone in the middle of the park. Having said that with Brough and now Hampshire missing, we are going to need to find someone to guide the side around the park. Whether this will be one of the Woods or, maybe bring young Bailey into the squad will be a huge call for Chester.
It would be fantastic if Bailey could step up and make a name for himself and certainly, other clubs have had great success in getting young halves moving but, it's a fine line and we dont want to put his development back by throwing him in too soon.
