Chester and carter think they're bigger than the club, loyalty is one thing blatant stupidity is another, chester will eventually do for carter. What do you think players are going to say or do when they get thrown under a bus and accused of moving out of the way, not trying, poor attitude and publically threatening then with the sack. Hes committed the cardinal sin and hung them out to dry in public and carter can say what he wants the players will get him. Why is carter involved in the planning of training sessions its ridiculous, they dont see the bigger picture we need a new pack. God it's like a jolly boys club I couldn't care less if they both went.
As ever you have all the answers, when can we expect you to take charge?
I can't wait, after all, there is no vested interest on your part is there
If you were my friend/relative posting (and let's not pretend it's a secret) I'd be livid, in what way do you think you are helping?
We have our answer friendship wins out over the club. I wonder how many supporters will go along with this decision if the performances continue to decline and we go through the expected blood bath at the end of the season.
Nothing to do with friendship. Don't know why you keep banging that drum. It's a waste of time.
One, there is cancer at Wakefield and there has been for decades. This is just a continuation of a saga that has been running since the 1970s.
It's like groundhog day. New people come in, they build a team and just as it starts to look like we finally might be getting somewhere it all falls to poop. Same issues over and over again and it all seems to revolve around the attitude of the players versus the management with a good deal of local gossip and self-interest thrown in.
I don't go as far back as some but I'm told Toppo was basically pushed out because the BOD and the players who had improved under him couldn't agree on what they were worth.
Look at McNally, 2004 players hero, 2005 they hated him to a man. Tony Smith, first games in charge instant success, following season the players hated him, even Agar, did well to start then bang, players hated him.
There is a pattern here and painful though it is maybe now is the time to break the cycle.
I have no wish to back CC, I think it's too late and he isn't good enough as a motivator. However, if he's staying breaks the 'player power' that has held this club back for years it may be worth it. However it's not just the players, there are clearly people lurking behind the scenes who are just as culpable, the whole place needs to be flushed out. That's what Salford did, that's what Leeds did when GH took charge, they washed away the past and started again.
Maybe I'm wrong with the detail, I am however right about the real issue. These problems were at the club long before CC and MC and must be tackled.
Two, if you want a clue then take what MC said some month back at the start of COVID. He said he was surprised by the reaction of some players to pay cuts and that he wouldn't forget those who supported him or those who didn't.
There is where it started, there is your problem and it's not just to do with CC. There is clearly a split amongst the player and you don't need to be Sherlock to work it out. That's' why the performances have been so patchy IMHO and why some players seem committed and some don't. Looking from the outside as fans do it's hard to know who's right, it always is. We as fans now need to choose who we back, the Coach (at least short term) and the BOD or a dissident group of players with an agenda of their own?
Tricky one if you have the ability to think deeply rather than just get angry and demand a head on a plate.
The 'players hated him' part just isn't true on any of those examples. It's a fan perception but take Agar as an example. Some fans on here would burn him at the stake but I've only ever heard good things about him from players.
It happens in sport and all walks of life. Works don't always like management.
Like I said earlier. The Star writeup could easily be a trouble causer who doesn't speak for the team. It's just fitting to the narrative some already believe. I can imagine the dressing room is a difficult place at Hull KR and Cas right now too.
This season just isn't the season to start a riot like this. Even if Chester is the worst coach ever, the players should be doing their best. I don't see anything in the tactics that stops a player attempting a tackle or trying an attacking play on the 6th.
The piece about who do you back is very interesting. I don't simply back Chester. If he has to go then so be it.... But I certainly don't back the trouble causing players. The club and the unity of the team is the most important thing. Everyone who doesn't want that can sit out until their contract is up for me.
The two of them are lucky that crowds are not allowed how do you think each would react to the response they would receive after each performance. It would appear that Carter will need to ask the supporters to buy a season ticket despite the uncertainty regarding the number of games available to actually go to, good luck with that. They went on holidays to Portugal to play golf and I think it is common knowledge regarding their friendship but you keep clutching at straws.

im a fan of the club, I’m not a sheep, I have my own views and I don’t post under other accounts. I take no part in anyone’s career or discuss rugby or the club with anyone. If carter wants to ring me to go do the coaching then I’m available at any time, I’ve forgot more than most people will ever know.
been in similar position my self where I came to a company and realised within a month it was a bad move, the floor manager was soft and had lost control of his work team when I arrived he called me a breath of fresh air to see that nothing stood in my way in getting the job done others was just whinging, few months on the company employed a production manger overseeing the soft manager to try and stream line product except he nothing about engineering fabrication but he had a book called the Toyota way which must of been his bible as he tried to influence into this method of a production line. He thought he could employ semi skilled workers at a cheaper rate to bring costs down and still get the same outcome and at a xmas do he got me aside to tell me he wanted rid of me because I was a higher paid worker needless to say the fur stood up. His methods was forced on us and all he got was rebellion, having sat him down and talked to him why his methods wouldn't work he couldn't get it into his head that other workers was letting the team down in the end he said it was still going to happen, I went above his head to the top boss who had been a fitter and worked his way to the top but to no avail, So I decided to move on as did another top worker, when I left the shop floor mess, arguing bitching and quality, the soft manager was sacked and they persevered with the new production manger, I later found out in the end he was sacked but he nearly shut the company down.
so in short what it means the management will do what ever they want and seem fit to do bringing staff and letting the trouble causers go as and when they need them plus you end up getting a reputation for hiring and firing which makes it difficult to bring in new staff but most of all they will need to think about their customers because at this moment in time you don't want to loose is the fans loose them and you might as well kiss the club goodbye

The same trouble makers who the supporters were praising a week earlier are now bad blood I dont believe it
Whether this whole saga is hearsay or not it is doing untold damage to the clubs reputation. How on earth we are going to recruit any quality to the club is beyond me ,you simply wouldn’t touch us with a barge pole at this present time .Other clubs must be loving all this as we prepare to end our campaign on a raft of below par performances ,is it the coach is it the chairman or is it the players or a bit of all three .For the sake of this great club we need it sorting before we finish the season ,because if left to fester over the winter it will do nothing for season ticket sales or recruitment and more importantly the very livelihood of the club.
No decent player will want to join us but I bet a lot will want to leave. The attitude of the team stems from that of the coach and I didn’t need to use red lettering. It is true some will be able to motivate themselves but like all of us each will be different and the skill is to know how to handle each to get the best out of them.
Having seen the article regarding another 4 players out for testing positive
Head coach Chris Chester was made aware of the news late on Wednesday evening and will be without four players in total for Thursday night's fixture against Huddersfield Giants after one further player was stood down following the implementation of track and trace protocols.
I have to think that some players/staff really need to take a good look at themselves. It’s obvious from leaking tales to the media, there are some players who just have no interest in this club, and will cause as much disruption as possible before they jump or pushed. As MC, says, they don’t have the balls to speak out to the management.
The statement by Carter will result in the loss of the only thing he is interested in his legacy. With him sticking with Chester in the hope he can turn things around despite 5 wins out of 33 and mixing this with his usual people skills why would any player want to join us. I am sure if we have problems within the dressing room it will be well known by every other team. I actually believe we are now seeing the beginning of the end of our SL status and it can be put down to the statements made by Chester and Carter. The CEO had a chance to save the club but gave it up because of his friendship or the fact he won’t grow a pair to sack Chester. (Not a phrase I like but he obviously does and it is most appropriate). Carter likes to back up his friend so maybe he could tell us why he thinks Chester can turn things around because I have not noticed anything. With our penchant to catch the virus you would think it could be a problem at the club but no it’s not our fault by due to our visit to Catalan. What do the rest of you think are you happy with the fact that Chester is guaranteed to be our coach next season.
