MC has done the morally right thing, whether you agree or disagree with it. One thing you can say for certain over the last 6-7 years MC has always acted in a morally right manor and as an ex-chairman of a community club I have had first hand experience of him doing so.

Yep contra contract law is pretty clear on a verbal agreement just some on here that are unaware of the legal terms of a contract whether written or verbal it makes no difference and is usually not an issue as a verbal contract is usually followed up in writing its when its not it can get tricky, clearly in this case there was an express verbal agreement no issues from me its the right thing to do is to honour it.
