EVENTUALLY, WE'LL WIN SOMETHING, ,MAYBE, IF I'M STILL ALIVE THEN

Re: Andrew Fifita : Tue Aug 23, 2022 3:35 pm
I suppose the holy grail is that hooker or half-back who just doesn't get an NRL game because there is someone superb ahead of him. That was Nico Hynes until Cronulla snapped him up. He couldn't get a game until Papynhausen was injured and a year later he's one of the best NRL half-backs. That was probably the idea behind Mason Lino, who has been pretty decent, albeit not all of the time. He might be better if there is a more dominant person with him in the halves.

Oh for a Danny Brought right now.

Your the one constantly having a pop put your money where your mouth is.
If we don’t perform on the field then no amount of ideas will help because that is the business we are in to entertain not constantly stave off relegation.
So its decreasing cycle then? What's your strategy to get out of it? Any ideas on a business plan because I do agree with you on this one but I am looking for your potential solutions not blockages
I would suggest one thing improve the marketing of games and advertise any special offers more widely.

Go then what do you suggest to widen it?

Why would I invest it’s really for those who believe like you. I would look at the revised plans for the North Stand if I was you and tell how anyone could work out a business plan with an ever changing ground. I will again leave it to those who believe to come up with a business plan, you asked me for a suggestion and I gave you one which would improve things.

So,
If you don't rate the team
You don't rate the coach
You think the board are not good enough and are going to reduce the playing budget because they are cheap
You don't like where you sit now
But you don't like the new plans
You wouldn't invest in the club

Why are you here?
What is the point of watching if you don't like anything you see?

I'm not telling you what to do. You can do whatever you want. But you just seem to be putting yourself through punishment with no benefit. I don't get it.

You don't like where you sit now - I do because it is at home
But you don't like the new plans - I just think the change to the plans may give the appearance of looking like we don’t know what we are doing having part of the roof not covering anybody but yet having terracing in the open in the same stand.
You wouldn't invest in the club - I buy a season ticket I certainly would not invest anymore would you?

Why are you here? - I find it hard to see a club I have supported for over 50 years slowly dying, while some of you just blindly accept it. We are now entering our 25th year in SL and I doubt our restructure of the squad will be a positive one, are we going for quality ha! or quantity or neither.

Answers above to your questions, I don’t know how I did that.

That’s the thing I gave up watching two seasons ago however I still buy a season ticket. I wonder how many will be purchasing one for next season.

I can ask you
Why do you accept anything relating to Wakefield Trinity without question you have a brain does nothing concern you or is everything just perfect.
I hope you realise that not every supporter has your belief in what the club do and if they feel they’ve had enough of watching another season of struggling how many will buy season tickets or merchandise. With the state of the country they may just think I will pick my games because I need the £25 for other things.

The club can quite easily prove me wrong by putting together a squad worthy of wearing the Wakefield Trinity shirt.

I am not going over it again the club will decide if your faith is justified or if what I believe turns out to be true. I really do hope it is yours regardless of what some believe , we all want the team to do well I just don’t think accepting everything without question will do anything. If I am being honest I don’t think my view will bother anyone either but I just feel it needed pointing out just like you do with your opinion.
The club could make a start by producing an home shirt which was white with a red and blue V or W, and lose the arrows pointing to the bottom I believe Norman doesn’t need any help locating his target.

Not with you on this old stick (of rhubarb) I really don’t like trinity shirts with a V … and the only time in history that the club used a W it looked, quite frankly… stupid.

Either white or blue (possibly red) with chest bands are the only proper trinity shirts in my opinion.

- of course I question it. I do it on here all the time. What I don't do is believe every delusion posted on here. I question it and those that can't explain or prove it sometimes get upset.

With the state of the country they may just think I will pick my games because I need the £25 for other things.
- and they have the choice to do that. I am lucky enough to be able to afford to go, even when its not going our way. Some don't and they prioritise their money. But I think you are very much on your own with your unending negativity. You can't even bring yourself to say something good when we win a game. I find that really hard to understand.

The club can quite easily prove me wrong by putting together a squad worthy of wearing the Wakefield Trinity shirt.
- they don't have to prove you wrong. That's some ego you've got. They do the best they can with the budget they have. Some things work. Some things don't. I'm not sure why you think they are consciously trying to kill the club. I get that you dont like everything they do but its easy to call them out with hindsight..

I am not going over it again the club will decide if your faith is justified or if what I believe turns out to be true. .

Fundamentally, I just support my team. I have no input to it, I just follow whoever wears the shirt and hope their best is good enough.

For a moment I was really pleased about the possibility of Andrew Fifita coming. I'm now sad David is leaving.
But I'm looking forward to seeing us in Super League again and seeing what team Willie can build now.

I’m really hoping there is a plan here

I was hoping Dave and his brother would play for us next year
Not sure if that’s going to happen now

Lot of talk of miller leaving

No discussion of retaining existing off contract players or signings coming in

Is no one a bit worried here?

I quite like the V, I can’t remember how long it lasted but it cannot be confused with the current international shirt. I know the W was very short lived but we have done all the band variations with the exception of red with a blue and white chest band.
