solutions when you are a small club like us is not to make mistakes in the first place, thoroughly looking at players, making sure they are on par or better than we have, keep a nucleus of local lads who care and not expect them on the cheap and then pay silly money for overseas players who are no.better than we have. Have someone in charge with some forward thinking and the ability to build a side to create interest in.the team and club.we had chances to build a side under chester and went the wrong way, Danny Brough for example and quoted as the final piece of the jigsaw, he'd been a great sl player but his legs had gone but we still sign him.

Easy to point out signings that didn't work after the fact. And as said, without stating who you'd rather have had,, who was available it doesn't show any special knowledge. Miller who you say we shouldn't have let go didn't exactly turn Cas into world beaters, even with an international halfback partner. If we'd kept him. I'm certain he'd have been on your list.
So yes. Some signings haven't worked and have really cost us. But that doesn't mean they don't care or are planning relegation as suggested on here by some.
The injuries to Jowitt, Murphy, Tanginoa have been massive for us. None of it is fun for us but I reckon it's incredibly stressful for them.
And they've tried as best they can to get some loan players in, even though some clubs don't want to help. We'll see if the stand off can get us ticking. So I think they are trying within the constraints they have. If something happens and we win some of the home games in June I'll be overjoyed. If we go down I'll be really sad but still watch and hope the current group are still there doing their best.....with additional staff and additional income from the stadium.

the club should be doing everything in their power to change things, our performances are dreadful, we can't score points our heads are down and why on earth if it isn't working do you keep doing the same things the same way. If they cared and had feelings for the fans they would do something about it. Its the norm and its accepting mediocrity

We all want one thing, and that is a club to be proud of, both on and off the pitch.
Most of us on here aren't stupid, and know we've never been the richest, or the biggest supported club, so don't expect all of our overseas players for example to be SOO quality, and for us to be at Old Trafford and Wembley every year.
What we do want to see however, is a competetive club that can be consistent and push to be in the play offs every year, and who knows, go far in the Challenge Cup. If we did have that, certain people, some on here too, would have a much quieter life

So all you want is something the club hasn't been able to do since the early 70s. Simples. What the hell is Carter doing!
He should be farming unicorns on the new pitch too.
Like my previous comment, we never had a huge fan base or magic money tree then, so what's different.
Like Mopsey said, too many people happy with mediocrity.
If you set your standards low, you achieve low
Well the world was different in the 70s. We were semi pro for a start. And we did have investors in the 60s and early 70s.
And the lack of a magic money tree is why the team in the 70s fell apart and we went from challenging to letting all our players go. And going to second division.
I thought you'd been around a long time. Why don't you know that?
Accepting where our limits are is not the same as not striving to be better. You should always set realistic goals with a bit of stretch.
There used to be a moderator on here called Big Al, there was no bigger Wakefield Trinity fan, he got involved with everything, charity stuff, supporters groups you name it
He was a very early casualty of Carters contempt for genuine fans and as far as I understand it Big Al and quite a lot of other long time supporters now have absolutely nothing to do with the club in any capacity
