Give the guy a break, Lino played the last game with out is hooker and standoff for most the game Good one about the style of rugby coach wants to play, 15 losses on the trot ,6 game's on the trot with out scoring a try This shocking season is all down to poor coaching, and having a team full of old players .At least give Lin o 4 or 5 games before saying how crap he is .
I would like nothing more in the world than Lino to succeed and play well especially to play a big part in turning our season around. I’ve watched him for a few years now and I remain unconvinced by his ability to be anything more than a half with a decent step to put him through the line. Something I expect to deteriorate with age.
He played the last game with a recognised 9 in hood and Bowes for the full match. There was some disruption to his 6 though.
The style of rugby you’re just deflecting away from the Lino argument and blaming the coach starting a different argument. That’s a different discussion. It adds to the fact that whenever Lino is discussed it’s always someone else’s fault. The coach, his hooker, his halfback, his full back, the forwards etc.
I gave Lino 15 or so games this season before I decided I’m not impressed with him. Or rather not impressed with him at 7. He is not an organiser and he should t be having so much ball as he does.
He may be more successful playing off the back of Gale as a 6 but Gale needs to be the one in the driver seat.
I commend Lino’s enthusiasm to try make things happen but he needs to simplify his game back to his strengths.
Fans seem to think he’s great and that it’s all the other players and the coach that are the issue. I don’t know what he’s done to achieve this status amongst fans. I really hope he proves me wrong. I will ofcourse cheer him on when he takes the field.
