I said before the game that Ward will have them ship it to the edges. He did exactly the same at London and is a very readable coach. They did exactly that. Shipped the ball to the edges many times during the game early and late in the sets. We failed to prepare for that.

The fact they had Massey and broadbent missing for the entire second half and used up their 8 subs after us tells me their forwards played big minutes and we failed to dominate down the middle given the numerical advantage. Proctor was a no show in the second half for some be-known reason, though his complimentary 15/ 20 minute contribution was hardly noticeable let’s face it.
