That's not correct pop tart. He got made an offer from cas and he told wakefield and the club kept saying wel sort it with you. As the weeks went on milky then said if you don't want me or you don't sort my contract by this date then I'm off. The date passed so he signed for cas. A few days later the club wanted to negotiate with milky but it was too late he'd gave his word. The club then said to him will you stay we will ring cas and pay a fee. He not even left or played for them, looks like edging their bets to me

I agree it was time to let Milky go, the 3 year deal from Cas was not something we should have been competing with. The mistake was not replacing him with a decent 6, everyone could see from the 2022 season that Gaskill was not a viable option. Personally I would leave Milky at Cas, their fans hate him, he is a huge drain on their finances, it is better for us going forward ( and always has been and forever will be ) if Cas struggle. Cas having to pay Milky £ 125,000 a year for the next two years is brilliant, Cas fans do know their rugby and they saw very quickly that Milky was not the answer. We should not do anything that helps Cas is anyway whatsoever and us taking Milky would be a massive help to them

They key bit you are missing is that he got a higher offer from Cas and we weren't wanting to pay that.
They may have reacted too late to up the offer but he went for the money, otherwise he'd have stayed on our base offer.
I don't necessarily blame him. He has a family and he is working for money same as the rest of us.
But that's not quite the same as him wanting to stay and we didn't want him.

I gave you the facts pop tart if you choose to twist and turn them to suit your narrative then that's up to you. Things have moved on from all the doom and gloom of the past, embrace it.

I really don't understand why you don't get why getting the details right is important but whatever. Its in the past as you say.

Seems a strange thread for all this angst when the original post seems to be so random at best.

We have to remember where we are: the Championship. He's an old head in a side that will have some young players, and he'll be perfect at that level
