Just in his statement alone, seems a real breath of fresh air, and doesn't look like he just wants to improve things on the playing front.
Thanks for your efforts Mick and John, but this bloke appears like he means business and wants to put the club back on the rugby league map, and hopefully some long overdue success to the club.
Welcome on board Matthew, and the Ellis family, and not forgetting a warm welcome to Daryl too. Up until the Warrington gig, his record speaks for itself.
I agree with your thanks to MC and JM.
I appreciate we're relegated, but we go down with finances in a stable position and a ground that is far superior to what it was albeit, work still to be done.
Mick Carter has had some stick on here and some criticism was justifiable, regarding his recruitment of players, but I for one haven't forgotten that he saved our club from extinction. I will be forever grateful for that.
JM came on board later but has got the best deal he can from that shambles before, of Yorkcourt etc etc - and he HAS produced a lot of what we wanted from seemingly getting nothing.
So, to all those making harsh, hurtful comments about these two guys, let them bow out with dignity and their heads held high, because they deserve to.
Or, you could always look at yourselves, which is often a good yardstick, and ask yourselves if you could have done any better. Probably not eh?
