I find it interesting that our own fans think we’ve a chance of beating Wigan, Salford or Hull KR if they rest players...it’s giving an excuse to teams we don’t support, yet when we are missing so many of our best players we are still expected to be winning?
Go on the virtual terrace and ask any opposition fan how they perceive us...do they see us as a play off contender, a mid table side or a team who’ll be scrapping it out near the bottom. I’d be absolutely astounded if at least 75% don’t say the latter.
If we are at full strength week in week out with few injuries and disruptions we might just prove the majority wrong and flirt with the play offs like we have done recently...when we are continually missing half of our best players we are finding our natural position in the table...the place where the vast majority of fans outside of Trinity fans would see us.
Look at our squad and how many match winners we have, I mean top players who can come up with that moment of brilliance, have an individual outstanding game that can turn us from a losing team to a winning one...
Fifita and Johnstone are two definites without question...outside of those two who is there?
Tupou is a tremendous player when on form but I can’t think of many times where his individual performance has single handedly win us a game?
At a push another could be Miller when at his absolute best...
Three of those haven’t been in lately...one seems to have had a crisis in confidence, one seems to have acted a bit like a baby and the other has been desperately unlucky with injuries...
Without our potential match winners though and the constant tinkering with the spine we look a very ordinary side.
How much of that is Chesters fault? He’s proved in the past when things are going well we are capable of playing some good stuff and upsetting the odds...
We need big Dave to come back with the right attitude because he can make a huge difference...if he’s playing at his best he lifts the whole pack to another level and if we manage to get a bit of confidence back (which is huge in sport) I’m sure we’ll play much better and pick off a few wins..

You would make a good defence lawyer i'd give you that!! The problem is, all you and others on here always leap to his defence by saying who we are missing, it's never about who takes to the field and are they giving their all and is the coaching staff getting the best out of them?! My argument is not that in theory we should be better with the likes of TJ, Fifita, Miller etc playing, although I say should because I can give you 5 or 6 games out of the last 20-25 when we have been almost full strength and been terrible! London, the 2 cup ties against Widnes & Bradford, remember HKR first up this season? what did we lose 32-6 and we were only missing Fifita & BJB? Catalans 58-0, you need to see that 17 again because it was very strong supposedly?!
Your argument seems to be, if we are missing xyz players then that's it, we've got no chance, no point turning up because it's a given we will lose.........Leeds at home last year, 10 players missing and we beat them on Easter Monday, because the players that DID play showed some bottle and fight, and scrapped for the full 80. It can be done. We had a stronger team out at Hudds the other day, and having watched it on Trin tv, I doubt we would have beaten a Championship side the way we played, and it probably is a good job there is no relegation, 'cause if there was that's where we would be heading........
