Maybe makes Elijah Taylor look more likely?
TBF Trojan, if we signed all the players you liked we'd be bankrupt by now
As for Taylor, I don’t know, he’s probably a solid option short term (1 year with Proctor) but we still need 2 props I’d say.
There’s certainly a few out there who may be options but the realistic ones are probably
Rahme (prop/loose) - looks good imo and covers two positions!
Yei - PNG prop playing for cutters. Strong runner.
Taylor - Salford LF. Good strong defender.
There seems however to be a lack of domestic quality players about… I still hope we sign back up Croft and Shaw especially.
Ashworth at Hudds maybe worth a look imo as another second row option as I would move Pitts to train for the loose forward position this season (thought he did well there the handful of games back end of 2022). Battye can also cover 13 and we have O’Donnovan.
I do hope we see some signings soon though because we are already into the second week of pre season and have about 5 or so spots to fill with some glaring lack of depth at Prop and centre especially. Also possibly needing cover in halves/fullback.
I’m not worried but do think we need to start getting moving soon. It’s more to do with getting the players drilled into the new systems and expectations.
