Kyle Wood is terrible I would not touch him. He's a average championship player at best

Of all our forwards he's the one I'd be least worried about losing. He's ok but nothing special, makes a fair few errors and always reminds me of Korkidas - runs the ball in like a train but ends up 5 meters further back than where we started. I do see the value of a better the player you know but I can't say I'd be bothered.

I hope this isnt true as I do rate him highly.

He is still contracted to us so would have a fee to pay or some arrangement has to be made.

It also says on their board they are hoping to land Sam Williams, so I would take this with a pinch of salt.

Having said all that I wouldnt be surprised that one day he ends up back there.

Agree, it sounds like rubbish tbh, especially if they think they're getting Williams when he's already signed a deal and they've just signed Walsh. The only way we'd let Simon go is for money and if we'd have another player lined up imo.

The only reason I'd be particularly bothered is because of squad size, we need a couple of incoming players rather than outgoing. But can't say I believe it, why wait till training resumes to start tempting a player? Doesn't ring true.

I always feel that Simon should put running into half gaps rather than a wall of opponents.Which of course is not his fault, but that of the coaches and on field play makers.

I feel the same way about all of our players, seems so simple.:)

Think that's a little unfair on Simon who has been a good signing overall despite being consistently played out of position in the front row where he is too light weight for his direct 'train like' approach and would be more effective for Trinity in the back row...I hope we keep him.

Of all the forwards I'd be least worried about losing Anthony Tupou but that probably won't happen....

Teams starting to announce squad numbers wonder when Trinity will do likewise?

Squad numbers don't usually get announced until a few weeks before the season.

No it's not unfair it's accurate - I'm not saying he's not good he's just not as important imho to other forwards.

As for A Tupou I really don't know what to make of it. A number of people who are generally sensible like Prince Buster say he's shot but I don't know whether that's guess work or fact. He wasn't worth it last season but if he can regain his fitness he's a real asset - who knows what the real state of play is but I would not assume what's posted on here is right. Until it's official I'll have to assume a fit Tupou will be available.

Re: Five New Signings : Sat Nov 05, 2016 3:33 pm
Simon is 3rd highest in squad last season with 275 carries and over 1719 metres gained which is in top 10 for the squad.....did a decent job along with Arona who are good back up props but really second rowers out of position. Made 15 errors in entire season which is fewer than Arona with higher average gain than him.

Joking aside he is an asset and has delivered more in his time that most including Anthony Walker, Annakin, Molloy and Kirmond so to say least worried to lose him is inaccurate IMHO as the stats don't back this up.
