Having seen the article regarding another 4 players out for testing positive
Head coach Chris Chester was made aware of the news late on Wednesday evening and will be without four players in total for Thursday night's fixture against Huddersfield Giants after one further player was stood down following the implementation of track and trace protocols.
I have to think that some players/staff really need to take a good look at themselves. It’s obvious from leaking tales to the media, there are some players who just have no interest in this club, and will cause as much disruption as possible before they jump or pushed. As MC, says, they don’t have the balls to speak out to the management.
What has 4 players due to miss Thursdays game because of Covid restrictions got to do with players attitude towards the club, unless you believe it was a deliberate attempt to cause more disruption on poor old chessy.
The statement by Carter will result in the loss of the only thing he is interested in his legacy. With him sticking with Chester in the hope he can turn things around despite 5 wins out of 33 and mixing this with his usual people skills why would any player want to join us. I am sure if we have problems within the dressing room it will be well known by every other team. I actually believe we are now seeing the beginning of the end of our SL status and it can be put down to the statements made by Chester and Carter. The CEO had a chance to save the club but gave it up because of his friendship or the fact he won’t grow a pair to sack Chester. (Not a phrase I like but he obviously does and it is most appropriate). Carter likes to back up his friend so maybe he could tell us why he thinks Chester can turn things around because I have not noticed anything. With our penchant to catch the virus you would think it could be a problem at the club but no it’s not our fault by due to our visit to Catalan. What do the rest of you think are you happy with the fact that Chester is guaranteed to be our coach next season.
You seem to forget - very readily - that it was MC that actually saved our club in the first place.

yes he well might be the massiah who saved the club but we’re here now and if the club or team are not moving forwards we’re going backwards. We are on a very big slope here
You might have known MC would come out take the blame for the current shambles - when is the coach gonna come out and admit his failings over the last 30 odd games of dross? This just takes the heat off him guaranteeing he'll be the coach next year. I wish them luck with the recruitment, nobody will touch us.

Lack of professional discipline off the field combined with a couldn’t care less attitude towards the club by some players. That’s how I see it. I have no idea who has become infected now or previously, I have no knowledge of infection control provided by the club, but infections are happening weekly, which suggests someone isn’t taking care, or doesn’t care. Just my opinion of course.
I haven't had the chance to read comments already made throughout the thread, Question, if said players had "had the balls" to direct there criticisms of Chester to MC then what outcomes would they come to expect? For me his embarrassing defence of his best mates has probably put them off.
Maybe the players feel the need to defend themselves to the media, just as Chester has rubbished them to the media and threatened to sack them?
I have supported this club through thick and thin, I think this is the first time I have considered not buying a season ticket.

In his interview today with James Deighton he’s said him and his coaching staff have to take some of the blame...do keep up!
Would love to know who the liar is spouting off to the press...can cause real harm...I’ve a feeling this might work the other way though...coach and CEO both admitting they’ve got things wrong...sounds like a productive meeting with the ‘seniors’ of the playing group!
We might as well just all get behind the 17 that take to the field each week because we now know that there will be no change....it’s what I would have done too...get Poching in...make the necessary changes to the squad...put the troubles of this season behind us and have a look how things are 6-8 games into next season, then if there is no obvious improvement then take action...

6-8 games into next season could be too late.....I would be more inclined to go 6-8 minutes !!
