I wasn’t going to post but based on the limited coverage it was obvious that our game plan is unchanged and our defence out wide still unresolved. I know we had several players missing but this would not change how we play. The kicking from hand was pretty much the same and our second phase almost nonexistent. I heard at one point TC saying that Woods was not expecting the offload, that is the problem he should because second phase is the way points are scored.
I know it was a friendly against a lower league team who also made many changes during the game, the problem is that in less than two weeks we face Leeds and we cannot stand another season like the last two.
I look at how we played in previous seasons when we had a playmaker in Smith who was flawed but definitely skilled and it is light years ahead of what we are producing now despite a much stronger squad apparently.
I hope for the best that maybe yesterday was not an example of the performances to come.
