Played well but we have too many workhorses and not enough quality

Score line flattered Saints, we scored three but had enough possession to score more but once again we don't have the smarts to unlock the defence in the 20. Some cynical play in the later stages from Saints not really punished but heyho, another one that got away. They're starting to stack up.

As a neutral statement, it was ever thus, no? It's the small margins that means that teams like us can play well and not quite bring home the bacon.
What was Kaye's tackling like at hooker? Raving about him on the radio but I can't imagine he's up to the defensive responsibilities over a full 80?

He actually did OK, got MOM I think. He got us going forward and made a nuisance of himself in defence.

Id say it was better than k wood he went really well

No Wood x 2, no TJ, no Bill, no Jordy, players not returning due to head knocks. Flow, just go back to the Cas Forum and keep winding them up. That was a full strength Saints team who we pushed all the way. Should we have won? Yes, we was the better team. Were they 'trying' absolutely, players that don't try, get injured!

60' But we are unable to muster any sort of attacking opportunity and Saints defend well. Turnover.

Just seen this on the Trinity twitter feed, sadly very true for most of our games and it is certainly costing us valuable points right now.

I could not go with it being moved to Friday but I presume we lacked an attacking structure because this is often our modus operandi.

Quite frustrated after that which given it was Saints speaks volumes. They were there for the taking, after they took the early 14-0 lead they started taking shortcuts and we got back in it and had them rattled. But despite plenty of chances and enough favour from our Ben we lacked the quality and composure to capitalise. Then another soft tackle, this time on Mata’utia and it’s game over.

Credit to Kay on his performance, he did ok given the circumstances. To suggest a permanent switch though is pushing it a bit at this point!
