What facts? It mostly seems to be opinion. If there is a shortfall it's up to Trinity, and the sport, to find ways to plug it. Christ if traveling to France is a problem then we need to stop pretending to be a professional sport and stick to playing teams in West Yorkshire, that's if the bus fair doesn't cost too much.
But they are facts, because they are obvious consequence, it can’t be denied, in the short term Toulouse will cause further damage to an already cash strapped game. I don’t see how anyone can deny that.
The debate or the opinion is whether in the medium to long term the two French teams will pay the game back by raising its profile and attracting back bigger TV money and other revenues. That is the debate and at the moment for me that is the bits that’s all about opinion.
The facts are that as of next season clubs like ours will have two revenue draining fixtures where as say Fev and Bradford had been promoted then we would have hat two very profitable games. It’s nothing to do with pro or anti expansionism it’s basic maths and I don’t know what there is to disagree with, they are facts.
Have to laugh though as the the U.K. turns it’s back on Europe that’s the moment we decide it’s time to invest, incredible.
