What facts? It mostly seems to be opinion. If there is a shortfall it's up to Trinity, and the sport, to find ways to plug it. Christ if traveling to France is a problem then we need to stop pretending to be a professional sport and stick to playing teams in West Yorkshire, that's if the bus fair doesn't cost too much.

But they are facts, because they are obvious consequence, it can’t be denied, in the short term Toulouse will cause further damage to an already cash strapped game. I don’t see how anyone can deny that.

The debate or the opinion is whether in the medium to long term the two French teams will pay the game back by raising its profile and attracting back bigger TV money and other revenues. That is the debate and at the moment for me that is the bits that’s all about opinion.

The facts are that as of next season clubs like ours will have two revenue draining fixtures where as say Fev and Bradford had been promoted then we would have hat two very profitable games. It’s nothing to do with pro or anti expansionism it’s basic maths and I don’t know what there is to disagree with, they are facts.

Have to laugh though as the the U.K. turns it’s back on Europe that’s the moment we decide it’s time to invest, incredible.

And yet football and RU both embrace competition with clubs based in Europe, maybe they are wrong ?

I do agree that financially , for Trinity, Fev getting promoted would have been massively better for us.
It will be interesting to see just what hair brained structure we end up with in 2022, if it's a 10 club top flight, with 2 French clubs, the damage to the
game could be irrevocable.

So Toulouse are to blame for our diminishing fan base before they’ve even kicked a ball in super league. All clubs need to get their own houses in order before panning the new kids on the block . How about keeping Chester on too long when we all knew the game was up for him but kept prolonging the inevitable. How about lots of super league clubs bringing overseas players that haven’t cut the mustard . Lots of reason why crowds are down but at this moment in time Toulouse isn’t one of them .

Purely speculation but I reckon Toulouse will drag a big crowd in without our away support.

This is true but they are not part of a UK only league they are part of European competitions which is subtly different, there are no European Teams in UK Football leagues and no European Teams in the RU Leagues.

It's not a UK only league.

How about stopping the glorified cheeting called Suger Daddy's .Do you think Catalan, and Toulouse would be were they are if they had not had a big backer All the top teams are cheeting and way in detThe so called Salary Cap is a joke . Wakefield and a few more small S L club will be having to budget for playing TWO French as they will lose cash,in these fixtures .Thats 4 games .The Sugar Daddy's of the so called cheering big clubs will just pay ..And yet fans still blame Chester .Do you think that W P as now got a bigger budget no..The only thing difference is W P is playing more attacking rugby ,maybe it could be the first step in getting the crowds back

I’m not knocking it, it’s just ironic.

I know it was only a cup game back in 2016, but the attendance that day was just over 2500, we may have to wait and see how our seasons going I think for a better estimate.

But they are to blame all be it indirectly, that is the problem, I’m not sure what you don’t get.

I agree it’s not their fault, they have only been spending years doing just as they were asked. It’s the fault of SL that it hasn’t developed a good enough product to neither maintain or increase revenue to support the game.

Why people insist these days on making it all heroes and villains with no grey areas baffles me.

I totally see the virtues and benefits of two French teams.

However I don’t see how anyone can deny that the timing is utterly dreadful and financially risky at best. This is a stone cold fact!!!

Had Fev come up we’d have got a profitable game FACT, and that would partially have compensated the 400k loss of SKY money. Toulouse on the other hand will add to that loss as that game will probably run at a loss.

If the above is wrong please explain to me what I’m missing?
