Well Eddie was harmed a little by the image they tried to give him.
He made some mistakes but when you think he had one camera angle, no replay, no supporting summariser, no stats man..... He did pretty well.
When you go watch an old Ray French commentary he was worse in my opinion with far more support.

And also, Eddie probably publicised the game more than anyone else ever.

They just let him go too long in to old age.

Eddie Waring was the greatest advert for RL because he was recognised as the face of the game and his popularity encompassed more than just the game.

Don't agree at all. This is a fantastic country for all its faults and I think that before people denigrate it they should very much compare it to other nations.

Few countries if any have done more to create and more importantly defend freedom than our GREAT nation.

I have been very widely travelled in my life I spent almost 9 years in the Merchant Navy 32 years in West Yorkshire Police and the United Nations Police, I worked in a strategic role for the UN and had my own entity working in parts of Africa, I have circumvented the globe numerous times and as you can imagine I have been far and wide.

I will give a great example of Great Britain, go to East Africa in some of the countries there and see how we are respected (not by all) even though we had a brutal way of dealing with subjects throughout the Empire. We left a good and bad everywhere but the most I see is education structures, governance although one would argue that many countries are very corrupt, Health infrastructure, in fact we left infrastructure everywhere the problem is in cases who it was handed over to it was too early or it couldn't be handled.

Now compare this to Central Africa where predominantly France and some other European Nations ruled and then have a think about our Nation. The UK is a great place the trouble is we now have a society who expect everything on a plate or cry wolf if not.

Who the hell would take Farage seriously. The guy only wanted Brexit to happen to kick the immigrants out (including those who are in the NHS workforce). The man is a hateful xenophobe.

I watch GB News and I dont care what others think, I love the discussions and not just a news reader sitting there. When I see BBC journos asking why we haven't locked down yet it really put me off them. After servicing my country in RAF for 22 years I do think this country is great , although some won't be happy until they have brought it down
